As soon as Swoozie mentioned retro gamer, I literally said, "Yup! There it is!" Retro gamer is 100% accurate to me with little bit of a Scoob. But here's the thing, racing games are my favorite genre of video games. For example, when it comes to Crash Team Racing (PS1) or Crash Nitro Kart (PS2), I have no issue in playing and being good. But when it comes to Mario Kart, it's like I'm a little kid that's learning it for the first time.

Question for y’all before the video drops, did you know Mario Kart 8 Deluxe has a meta? According to all the visible and hidden stats in the game, the most optimal all around combo is Birdo/Yoshi, Teddy Buggy, Roller wheels and Cloud Glider.

Also, Daisy, Peach, Peachette, Birdo, and Yoshi all have the same stats; the Teddy Buggy and Cat Cruiser all have the same stats (and the comet and Yoshi but inside drift sucks here), Rollers/Azure rollers are the same (both are obviously rollers because it is in their name), and paper, cloud, parachute, and flower glider all have the same stats, but the paper one is most optimal so you can see behind you better (and could too but I prefer the Paper one now)

I miss game night with friends. I've always been a shy person who doesn't make new friends often but I used to have a small group of friends and every Sunday we would get together for Dungeons and dragons or play Rock band, Halo or Soul Caliber. But it always involved Pizza and copious amounts of caffeine. This video makes me remember those times and sad they're they don't happen anymore. Good memories.

I feel like my friends would probably say I'm a fusion between the saboteur, the secret pro, and the strategist. A bit toxic without getting too extreme, don't mind 50cc and won't go so far as to use unintended shortcuts, but always have a plan. I do tend to win, but I like making a good show of it.

Mario Kart giving op items to "Scoobs" is no coincidence. The game is programmed so that players near the back of the pack will get RIDICULOUS items to try and help them have a fighting chance. There is literally a strategy in the game where really good players will deliberately fall back so they can get amazing items and then blast their way to first place and then some.
