I think mostly people knew about this, The halloween 6 mask looked the best, But they didn't want to keep that, Cause they didn't want the audience to think it's connected with halloween 6, They should just kept the Winston mask, It just the eye holes were too big, But it still looked alright to me, Halloween: H20 is a great sequel from the 1978 halloween

The average audience member would probably not even recognise that it was from the previous film, and part of that is simply because they wouldn’t have even seen the film! Halloween 6 made $15.1 million, Halloween H20 made $75 million, no one but hardcore fans would have even realised at the time!

True, but even so, their continuity in regards to the mask puts Halloween to shame. While the mould of the mask would slightly alter from film to film in accordance with the actor playing Jason, the continuity of the mask from parts 3-7 was really superb! Every bit of damage, from the axe to the head, to the crack on the right side of the mask was kept until they destroyed the original mask completely at the end of 7. Now that’s only 4 films, but that already beats Halloween’s track record, even including the new trilogy, as that’s only 3. After 7 it went a bit pear-shaped though 🤣

I didn't complain about 4 and 5. Those happen to be in my top 5. Growing up I was just fully immersed in the story. My focus wasn't on the masks, it was who was behind the mask

I personally like the Stan Winston mask now just hear me out I know the eyes revealed is a stupid but just hear me out I personally think it kinda fits with the tone of the movie as it’s the movie 20 years later when Michael and Laurie face off and are face to face with each other for the first time in 20 years but I understand the criticism maybe they could have just revealed his eyes only in that one shot when they are face to face through the window looking into each others eyes but kept the eyes completely black the rest of the film

KNB mask looks like a mold of Jack black

Wanting a different presentation with the mask, Miner wanted it to be void of all expression and to be very white. KNB designed it based on this description. Miner loved the mask and chose it for principal photography. After nearly four weeks of production, the producers and various members of the crew attended a screening of the film, which was about halfway complete. After Michael was seen on screen for the first time, a person (who has not been identified) stood up and said “that is not Michael Myers' mask”. A new mask was then demanded by producers, but Miner was unaware of this as he was unavailable for the screening. John Carl Buechler and his team were called by the studio to recreate the mask from the sixth film, without Miner's knowledge. Chris Durand was fitted and the mask was brought to set to film the opening scene of the film. Infuriated, Miner still shot with the KNB mask but to please all involved, shot the scene again with Buechler’s mask.

I love Stan Winston and his work, but I think they totally missed the point of the Mask. It's not supposed to be covering the face of a human, but of pure evil itself. Showing off his Eyes makes less sense and makes him feel so... Vulnerable.

no the first mask in halloween H20 looks like the 1978 halloween mask especially when he's coming in the back door after the nurse found the two teenagers died a ran back to Dr Loomis house running from Michael Myers now that mask should have kept in the movie 🎦 at least I can say that mask almost looks like the original Meyers slashers mask CGI mask looks like a sprayed painted gray mask not even close to the original Meyers slashers halloween mask an the other last mask looks like a stiffness glued hard plastic mask
