Every real N64 owner/fan knows one of the best things about the N64 controller is, you can mix and match different colors, all you needed was a Phillips screwdriver. And of course, Goldeneye!!

There's just something about the movie, too, for me, since levels are based on actual blueprints from the movie; gotta give that side some credit... there is little that's more engaging to me than pleasant environmental design, and if that design has consistency across iterations, well so much the better for an engrossing mood... Anyway, a true titan-of-a-game. And I'm glad that classics of this caliber aren't only looked at like they're undeserving, or that it is trite to favor them these days.

I’m kinda surprised they didn’t have other weird 3rd party controllers. I remember I had a Boomerang controller with a built in rumble pak. It was trash, but still a weird design since it also had ZL and ZR.

I never had a problem playing with the N64 controller, as a matter of fact it’s never a problem for me to adjust to any controller for any system. I still have my jungle green system with jungle green controller 😁

I used to have 4 controllers gray, black, red, and green but didn't even have that many friends come over to play. I just liked to have all the slots full and different colors.

I miss the tranparent colors of the gameboy, og xbox, and n64. I hope they bring them back for next gen. 360 and x1 and ps4 are my top consoles having the most games, but when it came to the N64 my first console, I have the most cherish memories. If GoldenEye 64, Mario Kart, Smash Bros, Star Fox, and DK64 with 4 controllers it's a instant party.

They definitely didn't hit all the 3rd party controllers like my mad catz controller that died way too fast. Back when I thought the turbo button would make me drive faster in Mario Kart. Boy was I dumb. Or the old-school wireless one I had that took too many AA batteries and worked using a crappy IR dongle that didn't work properly.

Except that's not "every N64 controller ever". More like every variation of color and decals on the basic design. My controller may have been 3rd party, but was single handedly the best one ever. Has two prongs on bottom instead of three, D-pad and analog both easily reachable to left thumb, and L in position for left pointer with Z in position for left middle finger.

They aren't my nostalgia at all ;/ but from what i can see here: they look the same -.- I get it, they were fun but they only differ with theire color and transparency. The function is the same as with every GameBoy colors.
