All kidding aside, I can't help but wonder if the Packers are thinking similar to the Chiefs a few years ago, where they identified their guy of the future and got him knowing their current guy was on the downside of his career. This might end up being a pretty smart move for the Packers, assuming that they think Love is their guy this season or next. A lot of people weren't too keen on the Chiefs moving up to take Mahomes either. Could be that the Packers are looking at Rogers salary cap and thinking that they could put that money to use building a team around Love. I guess the major difference is that the Chiefs had a good portion of their offense in place before Mahomes came up and the Packers don't have those kinds of tools yet.
