@@LiminalMan777I had no idea that happened. But the main example seems kind of weak, it's not like Elway or Davis' agents and the Broncos would not have found another way within the rules to keep them on the Broncos during that time. Plus the way Atlanta played in the 98 season Super Bowl, half the league would have beaten them that day 😂 Edit: obviously they broke the rules but what I meant is that they either thought they could sneak it past the NFL and deal with the consequences, or they didn't think they were wrong...plus keep in mind that the NFL players' union would have had to sign off on those terms, plus if they thought it would cause them to lose either one of those players they would have found another way to make everyone happy.

I’m a Broncos fan but I as soon as I learned about their salary cap manipulation, I knew it’s what put them over the edge for the Super Bowl. Not having to pay two MVP caliber players on offense MVP level money allowed them to sign star defensive end Neil Smith. This both improved their front seven and was addition by subtraction as Neil Smith was previously a member of the divisional rival Kansas City Chiefs. They deserve the dubious distinction of being a top five cheater.

What's most alarming is how many of them got away with it, right in front of the refs. For example, why couldn't the Colts have been forced to kick the FG at the other end after that blatant snow-clearing incident? Too much of the refs saying "well, they flagrantly broke the rules right in front of us and everyone else, but hey, what's done is done, right?"
@Guy_Incognito1
@Guy_Incognito1 Жыл бұрын
It may appear that way, but in reality, the outcome of NFL games are predetermined. Sometimes officials need to make a seemingly bad call to ensure the desired outcome. After all, none of these refs lose their job after their egregious "mistake," do they?
@anthonymatthews5854
@anthonymatthews5854 Жыл бұрын
That one blows my mind. How in the heck was that allowed to happen? They should have made them put the snow back 😅
@anthonymatthews5854
@anthonymatthews5854 Жыл бұрын
@@Guy_Incognito11, they're in a union. They can't just be fired for bad calls unless they have some other reason like failing health physicals, being the very worst routinely and not having enough seniority to keep their job vs, say, a highly regarded college ref looking to move up etc... 2) Plus, we all saw how absurdly horrible the replacement refs were when the regular refs went on strike. Refs so bad they made Jeff Triplette look like the Albert Einstein of referees in comparison 😅 Who would they get to replace every ref that made an egregiously bad call? 3)Sure, they'd find someone but there's a reason refs in the NBA, NFL and umpires in MLB are technically considered third party employees/independent contractors (but subject to nfl rules and guidelines of course) and the NFL would have to pretty much have to show that the referees are either significantly worse than the rest of the refs every year, broke rules (cheating scandals, points shaving, actual crimes etc) and then they'd have to deal with the refs union. So it's very hard to fire them.

What many fans do not know about is that a majority of these officials are just a part time job .No matter how great of physical shape they in , these players are bigger ,faster , younger , etc . Granted there is all kinds of instant replay , from just about every camera angle possible . Sure for the most part they are still accurate on questionable calls .There is still the Human element .I'll admit , that I have made errors in my life .But only a fool would think they are correct , on every aspect of the game they are officiating . One thing for certain ,the folks in stripes can make things " interesting " ..To err is human "

The Titans also stole the playbook of Ravens quarterback Trent Dilfer in 2000 when the teams played each other for the second time in Nashville. And the Titans played the Ravens offense completely different in the divisional playoff game, but still lost thanks to three missed field goals by AL Del Greco and Ray Lewis interception.

On the Carr deflation one, game balls ought to be filled at the location they're to be used. If the ball was filled to the correct pressure at a lower altitude, then transported to the high altitude/lower ambient pressure of Denver, the ball **will** be at a higher pressure. "Pressure" is really the measurement of _relative_ pressure; a ball at sea level at 15 pounds per square inch is actually nearly double that. The air pressure _outside_ the ball is ~14.7 PSI - a tire at 15 PSI is actually 15 PSI more than _that._ So, to the ball, lower pressure outside is exactly the same as higher pressure inside.

Sorry but the patriots are number 1… they had 44 recordings it’s only 32 teams which means they had some teams more than once they bugged the visitors locker room’s visiting teams headsets would malfunction and have the radio station playing deflate gate and they had the offense and defensive signals the tuck rule and the fact that the panthers in the Super Bowl stopped using the play book then suddenly was able to move the ball let’s us know the patriots knew their plays and that’s exactly how they picked off the Seahawks in that Super Bowl they knew the call because they could hear into the headsets and remember the falcons playbook went missing for 3 hours before the Super Bowl … the patriots had players dressed up like nfl staff recording signals even dressed as janitors watching teams walk thru’s it ain’t close and they mastered their cheating so much so that Brady took it to Tampa 🤣🤣🤣🤣 josh McDaniels got caught in a whole separate spy gate with the broncos 🙄 sorry but it ain’t close

They also missed the Eagles purposely running to the line after failing on a 4th down catch that allowed them to make the 1st score in the NFC championship without replay! I am surprised that the Patriots, Didn't finish from # 2 thru # 6 .From the amount of infractions , either by the referee , coaches , or owners .Deflate Gate , stealing signals , questionable and certainly obvious was the " Tuck " rule .Been either watching , playing , or officiating I've been thru my officials rule books numerous times . It still blows my mind that the officials in that game got away with such an obscure rule or unprecedented callous decision that allowed the Pats to maintain possession of the ball when 99.1 Of the audience , whether viewing on TV or in attendence at the game ..Within the officiating circles ..so many flags that either got picked up , overruled , or just flat out resulted in a " missed call " And the officials laughing before resuming play . The interception on the goal line in the Super Bowl vs the Seahawks was down right Grand theft . It's been speculated for many years that with gaming now legal in many states that NFL games are " fixed " Any type of " wagering " that has human beings involved with the end result is suspect . The best an observer that has a wager on any given game can only hope that , they are on the same wave length as those team involved are . It's ( the NFL ) is opened for business , in a few days the bookies will be hanging up their " opened " for business signs . Good Luck to all you astute " handicappers " May the person in stripes be on your side ! OR may the force be with you !!!

As far as deflating goes, the real culprits are the QBs and kickers of NFL teams and the NFL itself! They allowed teams to manipulate balls for one reason only, Money. More scoring meant more money. They need to go back to when the NFL provided the balls and nobody got to touch them till they were put in play! Also, I never understood why if you were going to allow different inflation levels why you put limits on it. I mean there is some point where a soft ball will be harder to throw but easier to catch and vice-versa. Why not let teams figure out what works best for them?

An imperceptible amount of air on a cold, rainy night in Foxborough when three of the four Colts balls that were tested were also below the legal limit? Really?

@@PedroMartinez-tt7lr Dude they literally had a cameraman filming other teams' signals lol. They were doing it for years and the league destroyed the tapes for them.

a. You ignored the facts in my comment b. You are advertising your ignorance if you don't realize that EVERY SINGLE TEAM was filming opponent's signals at that time. It was the location of the camera that got them fined. What's truly shocking is that it has been 15 years and you still have no clue! 🤣 Maybe soccer is more your speed

@@PedroMartinez-tt7lr A. I was never referring to deflategate. B. Don’t be the “everyone cheats” guy. Accept the reality that the Patriots cheated. Hell, they were even filming the Bengals sideline a few years ago. They got a slap on the wrist and a bunch of Super Bowls, so why even try to defend it?

@@OldScratchJohnsonReading comprehension is a skill. I said "EVERY SINGLE TEAM was filming opponent's signals at that time. It was the location of the camera that got them fined." It was not illegal to videotape other team's signals. Do you really not understand that concept more than 15 years later? As for the Bengals game - you are similarly uninformed. The filming taking place was part of a webseries called "Do Your Job," a program that profiled the behind-the-scenes staffers who make the Patriots’ machine work. The Patriots’ advance scout was not filming but being filmed. The video crew was credentialed by the Browns to shoot video in the press box and their PR person was aware. All this info is readily available on-line yet you choose to remain blissfully ignorant. I wonder why.

That little quip at the end was unnecessary. The Steelers allegedly cheat in one game and their entire dynasty is in question? Bruh

I knew my Chiefs wasn't gonna be high on the cheating list. We recently just started winning super bowls after a 50 year drought of not appearing in a super bowl. lol

I never understood the negative stigma around cheating in pro sports myself sure when it comes to steriods i take issue but not because of the preformance enhancement but because of the roid rage and the other side effects that come with it but its not like these guys are playing some friendly game of kickball in the backyard they get paid millions of dollars to win games
