I got into Pokémon through the anime I first saw an ad for it and I thought this looks stupid then I was like I’ll check it out I’m bored and then I fell in love with it This was in kindergarten Then around first grade I saw someone on the playground on their gameboy And I was like what are you playing and they said Pokémon Then I was like WHAT THERE’S A GAME Then they let me play Then a family friend months later gave me their blue version that’s how it started and at some point after I had gold and silver I lost both later on and a friend did let me borrow his gameboy and fire red to play I had eventually stopped playing the games not cuz I fell out I just didn’t have access to them financially but I kept up with pokemon through the anime Then in middle school around 2009,2010 a friend of mine gave me their Pokemon platinum and their ds That’s how I got back into the games and I did eventually go back and get access to emerald from a friend who sold it to me Until white came out which was the first pokemon game ever I actually got to go to the store and experience purchasing Since then I’ve bought my own copy of every Pokémon game So I’ve always been a fan and experienced every generation in some way

Yooooo to see Endless Ocean my beloved acknowledged here. 😭 Shame that Luminous and Fashion Dreamer (it’s more of a spiritual successor but I’m still relating it to the Style Savvy series) focused so much on online multiplayer than anything else when at the series’ cores, they were (mostly) single player games where interaction with others isn’t required for a better experience. They aren’t MMORPG’s or party games. I did appreciate that Luminous went back to its roots of being a game where you take your time looking at the cool fish and finding random stuff on the sea floor (also the prehistoric sea is cool af), but ngl the choice to add procedural generation (as well as getting rid of land animals) as well as multiplayer being on a time crunch kinda defeats the taking your time part. I do like them as turn off your brain games though. I hope a remaster/rerelease of these series since the larger land animals in both Wii EO games are kinda rough and the people animation on land can be a little jank, and Style Savvy has those crunchy DS graphics although the 3DS ones look better, or a sequel that remembers what made the older games beloved, but I’m also hoping for an official release of Mother 3 in English, so I might just be delusional. I hope they change up the dolphin training aspect in EO2 though (if that ever gets a new release). I dread that part every time I go to replay it, but it’s a necessary evil if you want more dolphin/whale friends. I also wanna see pilot whales and more beaked whales in a new iteration. I feel like people don’t talk about them enough.
