Every Penn State NFL Player's Best Play in College (Non-O Linemen)

Best play at Penn State by every former PSU player currently in the NFL (2020), in alphabetical order. Could not find enough film on linemen, so I listed them at the end.
Players in the 2021 Draft included, as well as Journey Brown who was forced to medically retire this year. His run against Memphis was too filthy to leave out. Dude woulda been a star in the NFL.

That Marcus Allen play was awesome, but far from his "best." The B1G championship stop against Wisco was remarkable

Yeah had a real tough time balancing best play with most definining or best moment. His best play for me is probably his INT vs Georgia State, but as far as moment, I think everybody remembers this safety. Tbf his real best play is the block vs OSU, but I used that for Haley

@@firstlovepod and theres a reason why I went the UCF kick. For one, Pinstripe bowl was a short kick to tie it and an extra point. Sorry but I just couldn't give best play to an extra point. I was really tempted to go his FG against Wisconsin (would have but it wasn't a walk-off and Wisco just had to match it in OT). I settled on UCF for these reasons: 1. It was a walk-off and a decent length FG. He also had a good game altogether with 4 FGs 2. The celebration is fantastic, and so is the call giving the history of his struggles. This also predates a lot of his success, so this could be seen as a turning point. 3. Opening game of the season setting the tone with a huge nailbiter win against a solid opponent, and first of many big kicks for him this year (again sort of turning point). 4. First win of the Franklin era, cool story with this game being in Dublin, and this was a UCF team coming off some really good years who beat PSU at Beaver the year before. Historic significance with Franklin, revenge on UCF, and it felt like it could be a huge win with how UCF had been of recent. Didn't end up being amazing that year, but still solid team. 5. Lastly, I just have a fond memory of having to wake up especially early for kickoff of this once in a lifetime game in Dublin to open the year, and then being treating to a great game

It is for sure... But people talk more about the Grant Haley return and I didn't wanna use the same play twice. That's prob not even Allen's second best play but it's his most iconic so I went with it

Certainly valid. Hard to balance skill/athleticism with the importance of each moment. Went OSU bc that was an incredible catch in a big game as a freshman. Ultimately didn’t score on the Memphis play
