With 6 different series, the Pokémon anime is truly something special, right? Well some are, but some of these series could definitely be improved. That's why I'm ranking all of them from worst to best!

XYZ is the best, but the ending is absolutely atrocious. Having Ash lose every single time to his rival and having the writers deliberately fool everyone by thinking he would finally win in the 20th season was insulting AT BEST.

XY/XY&Z wasn't just a kids show, it was a full-blown shounen, just watch it with the shounen anime checklist and see how many boxes it fills, right down to the main character is oblivious to several VERY obvious advances of their female companions

My top fave would also be the XY and XYZ series, not just because of the Pokemon and the characters, but because it was the 1st series I watched and literally just fell in love with watching Pokemon.

Xyz was legit a great series, both me and an old friend of mine, returned to watching this series as 25 year olds, considering we would watch only hardcore stuff like ReZero, and found it to be good along a nostalgia run.

man i watched whole 1000+ episodes in 1 months , i am not lying bu then tbh when xyz ended i felt so bad and i was littraly crying i dont care what everybody think but due to serenas romance this seires looked way better than any other any other , i wish if she returns and also the animation they had in xyz

I personally had zero problems with the animation from the first series. Maybe it’s because I was there when a lot of those episodes first debuted on American TV. But I’ve been watching it again today and I’d say it still holds up.
