On the wrap or twist around braid , how many strands of hair like how many stitches on each do you pick up to begin? Is it two strands on each side and then when I’m dropping and picking up more hair is it a strand every time I pick up more hair? Like on stitch every time I’d grab hair from?
@LittlejohnsYarn6 жыл бұрын
I understand what you are trying to explain😉 When it's time to pick up new hair add about 4 or more. strands to the hair on each twist. Your twist will become thicker the further you work down the twist (because you add more hair each "twist & drop". I'm here to help. let me know if you get stuck anymore.

I love this pattern! I seem to have more hair than you when making my braid. I cut two 50 inch pieces, so when folded in half, I have 4 pieces, each about 25 inches long. Is that correct?

This hat is so cute! But does anyone have suggestions on how to keep the stands in the braid in place? As you go down in the braid more stands peak out. I was thinking of adding some snowflakes to the braid to help. I'm wondering what everyone else has done. I feel like even if I tuck them in as best I can they'll just keep coming back out.

I don't know the exact stitches for this pattern. I didn't create a written pattern. You can use any hat pattern to create the base of the hat. I hope that helps

After each round we should have a count and maybe you could add the count on each round. Thanks, it’s just a friendly request. 🙂👌🏽
@LittlejohnsYarn6 жыл бұрын
Great tip. I'll do that in future videos. But here is something to help you for now. it's mathematical increase of each row. first row 11, Second row 22, third row 33 , forth row 44, firth row 55. They are all divisible by the #11(that orginal dc into the ring). All circles increase evenly, this is a tip it took me forever to learn, lol. another example, if you are to start with 10, each row would be 20,30,40, 50. I hope this help.

HELP! I only got 3 braids in before the strands began becoming too short to keep braiding!
@LittlejohnsYarn4 жыл бұрын
Borrow a few strands from the long 2 pieces. Or you may have cut them too short😥
@nolabch4 жыл бұрын
@@LittlejohnsYarn I tried 3 times, trying parting it a little further over, tightening a little but the strands just wouldn't make the long braid. Yarn strands kept coming out thru the braid as they ran out of length. I just did the best I could then whacked it off. Chalk it up to one of those projects out of my grasp. You did a beautiful job on your project. You have an amazing talent!
@danisweetlove20 күн бұрын
I just made this for my niece and I had the same problem. I think I misunderstood the directions, when she said both strands should equal 50in total, I thought that meant each strand will be 25in to make 50in between the 2. I think she meant each should be 50in. It is too late, so like you I now have to cut off the short strands. It’s ok though, I’m sure my niece will still love it and won’t even notice I messed up lol.

Is there anyway Elssa hat can be a hat and not a bonnet
@LittlejohnsYarn3 жыл бұрын
This on is a hat. The ponytail makes it look like a bonnet. I have a Anna tutorial also that's actually is a bonnet.
