Dude I used it on some single note pads and plucks and it's just genius. There's so much you can do with this. These stretch algorithms are insanely accurate.

I know they are crazy! I tested doing the same amount of stretching with logic and ableton and they both sounded way worse

For any FL users: drag the sample into Edison and click the 'blur' function. It achieves a similar thing.

yes paulxstretch is a must have vst plugin but i find it best for luch ambient backgrund drones and atmospheres 👍

Why use a free third party plugin when you can just load a sample into Edison and blur the sample

Won’t sound the same at all. The algorithms in Edison are just the z plane algos (same as Abelton basically)

two totally different processes my dude...paul stretch uses phase vocode additive resynthesis...edison blur is doing convolution using a synthetic pink noise impulse response...if u listen critically...they sound very different...they interact with transient and timbre differently...plus paul stretch allows much more manipulation of the resulting sound.

Doesn’t work the same. The algorithm for Paul stretch works specifically for extreme stretching. I tried doing the same thing with logics flex time, and it sounded horrible
