Every PVP Poise Breakpoint You Need To Know

*About raptor talons, the way this interaction works is a little jank. But basically, each r2 contains two hit boxes, with the first one coming a few frames before the second, and having lower hitstun (staggers for less time) than the second. Both of these deal 119 poise, and if you tank the first one, the second will stagger you long enough to get hit by the first hit of the second r2 (can roll out before second hit of second r2). If you are poise chipped and get staggered by the first one, but tank the second one, you can roll out before either of the hits of the second r2. So to simplify, every other r2 will combo into a followup, and when you are not poise chipped, it is much more reactable as the first hit which is somewhat unreactable wont stagger or combo you into the second hit.*

that is only true for hyper armor, with passive poise the number in your inventory is good. basically it reduces incoming poise damage by 25%.

i don't really get it, shouldn't it be exactly 110 poise for tb so the second hit stuns but not poise chips for rr2 first hit. So i should have exactly 110 and not more or less right? You say 109 in the video tho, im confused 😭

my bad. the reason i run 109 there is because after landing the rr2 combo, a lot of people will r1. Most of the time you'll get hit by the first hit of that r1, if you have less than 109 poise, that first hit will chip you enough for the first hit of run r2 to stun.

So my 53 poise is useless. Might as well aim for light load.

sort of. Only thing you accomplish with 53 off the top of my head is one dagger l1, first hit of fists run r1. Ideally you run imp head, altered beast champion chest, beast champ greaves, beast champ gauntlets. With this you hit the 71 poise breakpoint, and more importantly, if you can wear this, you can swap two talis for great jars arsenal and bull goat tali, then swap to tree sentinel chest, and lionel arm and leg giving you easy 109 poise.

Thanks...but i love Dark Souls 1 poise in Elden Ring, no the Hyperarmor. Is a caos a rat knocks you down with 100 or more... Elden Ring It has to be a mix: Sekiro jumps and stealth. Ds1 true poise and fire hand. Ds2 dualweilding, dark magic more things. Ds3.............................. Bloodborne arcane for blood builds? Sorry but thanks.

@@johndang897 dont listen to reddit, listen to me :D. Passive poise is important because without it things like sham and offstoc take priority way to easily and you will get bullied. The only time I might not trade one or two talismans for extra poise is when the opponent swaps to fists whenever they poise chip, unless I have something that resets my poise like hyper armor attacks or wild strikes easily accesible.

@@Barebonesboyan I got 117 days in Elden ring at 150s meta for invasion and following the both 1.10 hyperarmour guides have been doing fine with a fashion build. We’re talking 96% win rate. Barely anyone runs thrusting sword or shamshir or fists which bonfire duelists, so we are talking about a fraction of a fraction Most use great class weapons or katanas as they want something that is decent for PvE and PvP.
