In the video you mention Ty Cobb having the highest batting average in history. He does have the highest career batting average in history, but the highest single season batting average belongs to Hugh Duffy, who hit .440 in 1894 (There’s some reports of players having a higher batting average before that, but those came from leagues who’s stats aren’t as trustworthy because they weren’t recorded as reliably) Love your work and the video ❤

The tagline of The Kiln is a pun, as a Kiln a type of oven that is used in pottery to turn soft clay hard. The process of hardening clay in a kiln is called kiln firing, so kilns in both real life and Gungeon fire pots

With the mention of participation of “Proof of participation in the democratic process” in the description of The Ballot makes me think that the item is a reference to a famous speech given by American civil rights activist Malcom X, where he compared ballots to bullets, and urged black Americans to vote, saying “If we don’t cast a ballot, it’s gonna end up in a situation where we’re going to have to cast a bullet”

I'd like to mention that the R&G Department floor has a couple of references in its name. There's the reference to R&D, Research and Development, a department of game studios, as well as RNG, which stands for random number generation, something that Gungeon features very heavily, being a rougelike game. It is also possible that R&G stands for "run and gun," referring to the gameplay of Gungeon, even though Gungeon is not actually a run and gun game in the genre sense.

For the Siren’s “Brave New World” synergy, I believe the name may partially be a reference to the famous line given by the character of Miranda in Shakespeare’s The Tempest, the line being “Oh, wonder! How many goodly creatures are there here! How beauteous mankind is! O brave new world, that has such people in ‘t!” It’s worth commenting that Miranda is meeting other humans for the first time, hence the line. There is also a character in the play named Ariel, and the line is used for the title of Aldous Huxley’s novel “Brave New World.” I looked it up and saw this info wasn’t on the wiki, so I wanted to share here! Great work on the video!

Bit of a nitpick regarding the Sprun item (because I'm a pedantic Sanderson fan). The spren from Stormlight Archive don't turn into radiants themselves, but make other people into radiants. They also only do so when the person accomplishes various feats, which Gungeon references by having the various activation conditions for the Sprun. The part of the ammonomicon mentioning bridge delivery and maintenance, is a reference to one of the main characters of The Way of Kings being a bridgerunner, a soldier whose only purpose is carrying bridges to help other (more important) soldiers across cliffs.

2:04 Slight corrections here: It's definitely a reference to Half-Life, as the Interdimensional Horror's sprites internally are an intentional misspelling of "Nihilanth", the final boss of Half-Life. Additionally, the Resonance Cascade was caused by Black Mesa, not the Combine. The enemies summoned by the Interdimensional Horror are also very clearly based on DOOM enemies, so there's likely inspiration from both in the events that play out here.
