As someone in a Dom-Sub relationship, ppl need to hear Eval's explanation on it bc the way 50 Shades n Wattpad rotted people's brains is terrifying and ridiculous at the same time. Plus, it takes a *lot* of trust and relationship building to get there! (At least, in my own experience)
@taracaelestria3 ай бұрын
Someone who ISN'T spreading misinformation? You mean there's actually people who understand what it is!?!?
@t0mies_b0dy3 ай бұрын
@@taracaelestria yeah! I'll admit, I get parts wrong! But 50 Shades had Christian *stalking* and *coercing* Anastasia into a Sub/Dom relationship. Meanwhile, Wattpad just takes abuse and makes it sexual *in some cases* . Through my experience, Dom/Sub relationships are all about 3 things that I call the 3 Cs - Consent, Communication, and Coping. Consent - Straightforward. If someone says no or expresses discomfort, *back off* . No pouting about it, either. Communication - Everything from Safewords to Check-ins. Hell, check-ins can be disguised as dirty talk! Even some of the harder scenes (ex. consensual non-consent, somnophilia, heavy impact play, etc.) involve a safeword and constant, constant, *constant* check-ins. Coping - This is the after effect of a scene. Whether there was penetrative sex or not, there has to be aftercare or some form of recuperation. Otherwise, the sub or the dom will feel used and it can bring down their self-esteem. I'm not gonna pretend that I know *everything* about Sub/Dom relationships or even BDSM/The Kink Community in general. *But* I am pretty knowledgeable in some areas from my own experience and, yk, common sense. Of course, do your own research if you're thinking about entering such a relationship. Mine just kind of. Formed? After a while? My (now) fiance and I talked it over as we were dating and we established everything we need and it's been a really good experience !! Yes, there are times we both slip up or something doesn't go the way we wanted it, but that's okay! At the end of the day, a Sub/Dom relationship is all about those 3 Cs, and if you do it right, your relationship will blossom into something beautiful.

One thing I know abt long distance relationships is when you find love it's much truer, because there no physical, so there's no confusion between love and lust. It also makes it harder to find love online because of the fact it's apart and you have to have a loveable personality not just a pretty face or money
@stealthy91563 ай бұрын
Its super easy to act online, if the other person at the side of the screen really wants to fake something, they totally can, or simply hiding a few parts of yourself. Its also easy to project your own fantasies on this other person and fall in love with an idea of someone that doesn't exist, and the people i've seen looking for love online werent ready for any kind of relationship, and resorted to online due to a lack of social skills

Queer-Platonic relationships: Similar to Domestic relationships, but without the legally binding bullshit. Normally, QPRs are basically best friends with extra steps. I would argue a bit on QPRs, as it is more complicated than just friendship. From what I've heard, queerplatonic love and attraction doesn't really fall neatly into either platonic or romantic labels, and hence it's its own thing. More about what isn't than what is and as far as I know, people in QPRs don't really care about how they call the relationship, how it is perceived or even how they feel towards their partner, only that the love the have for them is a lot and that they really care and trust them.

Well we had a bit of a rough start at first, since both of our families are "old school" and didn't like the thought of me dating a guy I've never met. So...yeah we kinda had to date in secret for about 4 years. I met him about 7 years ago when I found his KZbin channel and thought it was kinda cool and sorta became a fan. Then I decided to join his discord server in the link and from there I became a regular. After awhile we actually managed to become friends (I was so stoked I was friends with a KZbinr) and he was actually the one who said he has a crush on me and we hit it off from there. After highschool I went into the Air Force, with boot camp being coincidentally a 4 hour drive away from where he lives (prior to that I've never really left Florida) and he managed to convince his mom to let him come to my boot camp graduation, and that's when we met for the first time irl after only seeing each other through a screen for years. From there we got married and we've been a happy couple since! I'm sure I'm not the first person to marry a guy I've only met online but I'm sure my type of relationship isn't very common either! It's actually all thanks to me joining the Air Force that we were able to meet irl, otherwise it probably would've never happened and I would still be stuck in my home state!

You forgot about a QPR which is similar to a Domestic Partnership but not exactly. A QPR (Queer Platonic Relationship) is basically a friendship and a romantic relationship blurred together (think about a more committed best friendship) and originally started for Ace/Aro/AroAce people to have a more enjoyable relationship experience. These relationships varies from person to person to see if it leans more towards the friendship side of yall maybe living together and hanging out and not really doing dates to the romantic side where you two might include dates here and there, cuddles, and might even get legally married for whatever reason (bills, medical reasons, just because, etc.) Smex may also be included in this type of relationship if agreed upon beforehand but it usually doesn't include it.

i hate the polyphobia in the comments of videos like these. people calling it cheating don't understand what consent is. i'm not poly myself but dawg i can see other people's relationship and respect it. like it literally has nothing to do with you. if you're the kind of person who dogs on non-monogamous relationships it's genuinely a red flag that indicates you don't respect others and their decisions and love to stick your nose into things that don't concern you at all. you people hate joy, you hate happiness and you hate the sharing of love. it's disgusting and it shouldn't be tolerated as "just my opinion," when it's directly harmful to a group.

So, me and my darling are in a (best way I think I can describe it) Co-Dominant-Submissive Relationship. Basically, either one of us can be the dominant or the submissive in any given scenario. It ultimately depends on who wants to be intimate at the given time, since both of us want the other to have total control. The other gets to be the dominant and gets to enact the fantasy with the submissive, and it really is a chaotic change of pace. There are some restrictions in any given scenario so that we don't utilize a fantasy that would make the other uncomfortable (both for the dominant and the submissive), but it's a blast getting to play together like that.
