There's no yin and yang Symbol what we commonly referred to as the “yin-yang” is actually called a taijitu (太極圖). This symbol represents the concept of taiji (太極), which encompasses both the monist (wuji) and dualist (yin and yang) forms. Everything else you said about it is absolutely right. Just a minor correction.
