I think this build would have worked out better if you just embraced the eclectic vibe rather than trying to minimise and modernise it. The werewolves room turned out so nice and that's a tricky pack.❤️

I love how you were able to tie everything together. It really does look like a semi-realistic house where the people living there were working with old, rustic, repurposed furniture and bringing in some new pieces one at a time and painting and recovering the old things to suit their more modern, boho style. Shabby chic farmhouse, perhaps.

I think if the kitchen walls had been white instead of dark gray with black counters or the green ones it would've still looked cohesive with the rest of the house but also modern

I thought you were gonna create the kitchen with all five packs and randomize the selection for every room and get five packs each time. Could be a different approach next time if it helps 🤍 although five packs can be stretch so maybe three!

I think you just need to reframe your idea of who would live there! I could totally see a recently retired couple who is eccentric and fun living in a home like this. Maybe their kids are grown and on their own now but they watch the grandkids sometimes. They buy fun items on their travels to bring the world into their home and really just go all out and decorate in a way that makes them smile now that they have this big home to themselves to enjoy and don’t need to worry about things being kid-proof or easy to replace/clean. They just get to kickback and have fun pursuing their hobbies and spending time together.

personally i like that you take these builds "serious" and try to make them look nice :) !! there's many other sims builders that will do challenges similar to these and "follow the rules"/put no effort into making it look cohesive and "realistic" so i appreciate your build style :D

It would be cool to see you do a build challenge where you get to pick the 5 packs and can use them throughout the house BUT can't use base game so you have to think carefully about the packs you choose to fully furnish the house and have it still look good!

i really prefer the more “loud” builds, you always second guess yourself when you make the braver choices and color picks, but i think you’ve really got a great eye for random colors

You can tell Deli really loves the Sims because she HAS to take her builds seriously. She can't just throw some furniture from the selected pack in each room and call it a day. She's gotta find a way to make it look GOOD, even if it means she has to bend the rules a bit 😂

I have found myself wanting more swatches recently for the country living cupboards WITHOUT curtains as well - I think it could be a little more versatile. As you were doing the office I was thinking what if the person that lives there is a creative Sim perhaps an artist or a novelist with a strong nature theme to a lot of their work.

For challenges like this, if one *must* "cheat," I say use base game rather than any other packs, like base game wallpapers as feature walls instead of Cats and Dogs. Is it really a challenge if it's allowed to be broken? 😛 lol. It's also okay if it isn't "perfect." I'd say maybe 97% of the world's population doesn't have a perfect looking home. Everyone has those weird orangey-brown kitchen cabinets, brown speckled countertops, a weirdly shaped living room... But sometimes the best homes are the ones a little bit cluttered and cozy. ☺ The ones that feel lived-in. Also, as someone who enjoys maximalism and global inspired decor, using that kind of decor doesn't mean it has to be chaotic. Messy is chaotic. More heavily decorated is maximalist. Built with big/loud patterns can be minimal as well when there isn't a lot of other decor. Anyways. Just food for thought. 😊

I would love you to play out the full chaos version of this challenge. You randomize one pack at a time (this forces you to be strategic when you choose what room to use it for. For example, using tiny living in the bathroom because you don't know when you'll get another bathroom set). If the pack doesn't have an item? You just don't get one. That item is now missing. No bed in the bedroom? Too bad. I am also a perfectionist when building in the sims so it's hard to commit to the chaos. But it can be really fun if you do. You can also do a challenge after where you renovate it to look a little nicer and more functional but it still has to keep the spirit of the original build. This was fun though! I can tell you tried really hard to make it look nice

I think it's really interesting that you guys call them a doona! It comes from the Danish word for it (dyne) which we also use in Norway :) it means down feather, but also duvet

How about radom pack generator creates a sim's story in the house. Like say you get 5 packs. But say you get werewolves, cottage living, seasons, City living, and cats and dogs. So you have a werewolf who lives with their dog in the city but decorates with a cottage core? Just a random example 😂

Admittedly, I think this video would be a bit more fun if you'd let yourself ...be less serious about it, I guess? In other words, I think either changing it to a limited pack build (just to give more freedom with what can be used where) or just not trying to much to make things look "normal" or more modern etc., it probably would have been more fun both to build and watch. Which is not to say it's a bad build _or_ video, just to say it's more enjoyable when you are enjoying the process more!

Id love to see a challenge like this but afterwards you have to create a a sim family that would liv there. like for this you would create a sim who loves boho and flowers and wants to do the flouriest path but her kid is a movie fanatic and loves horror movies that's why you the werewolf pack.

I love to see you do this again, but no base game. Spin separately for a bathroom and only include packs with a toilet. Also spin for exterior choose from packs that have wallpaper, windows, doors, lights. If a room is missing wallpaper or flooring etc use the exterior pack. If it is not included in that pack, you can't use it.
