Godzilla vs Gamera is the episode that got me into Death Battle and the vs community and even after all these years its still my favorite Death Battle episode of all time. As a massive fan of both characters it just makes me so happy to see how well it still holds up

I always enjoy listening to you gush about episodes you’re passionate about. The way you talked about Iron Man vs Lex and Snake vs Sam is honestly infectious and a joy to watch. Tony vs Lex is my favorite of this season. It has my favorite line in the series, the only thing that barely edges out is Matpat’s “Everything” line from Power Rangers vs Voltron. Also Superman’s “With every step an Earthquake” speech is pretty cool as well.

Honestly, Godzilla vs Gamera, despite hardly looking the best nowadays, still remains my favorite episode to this day. It was my introduction to both Gamera, and thus the wider world of the kaiju genre, and my introduction to Death Battle and Versus, so I doubt I would be here without it. Also, whilst I wouldn’t mind a remaster, I would rather they explore their mythos’s a little bit more (I.E. Destoroyah vs Iris, Gyaos vs Skullcrawler, and/or Ghidorah or Gigan getting on), and bringing in King Kong (King Kong vs George (Rampage), DK, or Zeke Yaeger (Attack On Titan), or the aforementioned Gyaos vs Skullcrawler) and/or Ultraman (Ultraman vs Zone Fighter or SpaceGodzilla vs Ultraman Belial) before getting the coveted round 2 Also, also, did you watch the Heisei Gamera Trilogy? If so, then that and the original Gamera 1965 movie basically everything you need to watch from Gamera, though you can watch everything else he has if you want.

The issue I have with most animations on Killer Instinct and that is the use of Combo Breaker, because it is usually just used to describe a big combo in Death Battle it happens sometimes too, but to my knowledge fulgore vs sektor is one of the only animations that gets it right at least.

Minor nit pick, but Terminator was shooting Robocop at the end with his shotgun, not the plasma rifle. Also thank you so much for including the lemons bit XD Colleen is a national treasure.

I always thought that was the plasma rifle, since it's the one that would make the most sense to be able to do the most damage to Robocop, much more than a shotgun from that far away. I checked the DB wiki transcript just to make sure and they seem to agree that it was the plasma gun. Also Colleen is indeed goated

@@BiffWeed Terminator had a shotgun in his left hand and whipped out the plasma rifle in his right. The 2 shots that hit Robocop immediately shorted out his left arm and right leg. That's why he needed to get rid of it soon to avoid a complete shut down, and the car hit Terminator's right arm. Plus you can see Terminator one arm cocking the gun before each shot, a reference to his series. And the shot gun shots also make different sound effects from the previous plasma shots.

Honestly I always found Kid Buu's death to be great. Could the explosion be bigger and have more impact with sound design? Yes. Could Kid Buu have reacted more to being blasted away into oblivion? Yes. Would I change anything else from the top of my head? No. Everything else about the death works for me, and it does so to great effect. The build up after the Star Rod is destroyed is great, with the thunder and imposing visuals and sound design with the spirit bomb sell the impending doom both it and Kid Buu possesses while making you feel kind of bad for Kirby as he literally stares death for both him and his entire planet in the face. The foreshadowing of the miracle fruit and hypermova kirby coming together is great and actively makes you cheer for Kirby as he rebounds the spirit bomb like at the end of Kirby Triple Deluxe and, to my knowledge, Dragon Ball Z. The face Kid Buu makes before getting whacked with the spirit bomb will never not make me at least smile, him getting vaporized in the sun makes sense, and the sun turning around to show Kirby's face as the camera zooms into it accompanied with the sound effects does a darn near perfect job at selling the realization of the results of Kirby not only winning, but saving the planet, if not the universe or something, more than nearly any other death in the show, which I'd say works perfectly well for the pink demon. Overall, I just think it's a great death, sure, it could've been more, but what we got was still fantastic. Oh and the issues with Kirby's characterization and "Lol cute kiddy character beat serious boi" never really bothered me, and I never really liked the thought of Kirby blowing up the sun with the spirit bomb that much, so, yeah.

I mentioned this once before and I'll say it again, as much as Godzilla vs Gamera is one of my personal favorite Death Battle episodes (it was even the subject of my first TF2 dub) I will agree the animation itself really did not age well. It's an episode that, like Goku vs Superman, I kinda hope gets it's own reanimated collab to at least bring something new to it's visuals. Though I get that it's probably not an episode that has as much significance as Goku vs Superman or even other matchups, but a man can dream.

[I had to split this comment into 3 parts lmao, the first 2 replies under this are the other parts] Honestly you did an excellent job on this list, and while I want to say I'm looking forward to your future lists you absolutely deserve a rest. Sooo yeah Season 2 isn't the greatest season but it has a huge personal connection since that's when I was still in like...middle school and just the feeling of growing up with the show and watching it evolve was really nice. It also made my really shitty years in middle school a lot better, even if it didn't absolutely cure it, then again nothing would've at the time. Naturally I want to rank the episodes myself just to share my opinion....as well as some of your own pain, then again it's not like i had to voice and edit a single dumb comment- 32- Yeah Beast VS Goliath is still the lowest this season got, it really feels like a nothing episode. Doesn't help that they completely go against their characters in the animation, and just in general a lot of things were stupid (cough cough the conclusion), not like I could really care for the analysis since I don't particularly know either character that well whoops. Luckily a low 3/10 is the worst this season got. 31- I was surprised Ivy VS Orchid got this low but it makes sense. Pervert Boomstick is absolutely unfunny and insulting to the characters and just...anyone in general, though I guess sex appeal is kind of part of Ivy and Orchid. Still, doesn't change the fact that the jokes are garbage, the animation is also a big pile of nothing, besides RibbitTheatre fucking dying how unbelievable now I'm never going to get that commission- 30- Oh wow the other episode that mentions a ground based stat how quirky, I like but also hate the analysis, especially that Alabama joke fuck you old Boomstick I'm glad that you've been forgotten. Similarly the animation is really problematic, it's amazing how they managed to fuck up a death with such a cool concept as well as...just in general a lot of things. Yeah not much to say sorry 29- Luigi has been one of my favorite video game characters since I was little, there was something about him that always appealed to me. The first Luigi's Mansion had an ending that, for the first time, made me cry like a little bitch over a piece of media because of how emotionally attached I felt towards it. Don't ask I was 6, anyways with all of this being said, it's easy to imagine that I personally did not like Luigi VS Tails. It didn't truly spite Luigi, but it definitely did not respect him....in any way. I think everyone gets that the whole radish thing in the analysis sucks balls but a lot of stuff in the animation just felt like Luigi getting curbed, even the death gives him little to no respect, it just happens. Episode sucks moving on 28- As you said Batman VS Captain America is the definition of boring filler, nothing truly bad just...nothing. Even when I was like 11-12 I felt like the episode only happened to appeal to Batman fans since he got a W (even though it turns out that Captain America wins and the DB team even admitted that oml-). Still way better than Batman VS Black Panther moving on. 27- Once upon a time when Yang VS Tifa came up it received a lot of backlash for how biased it was, I never really knew of it when I was 12 but when I later realized it I thought 'huh...shit'. Recently though a few people suddenly say that the episode is actually good (or at least they said the animation was good huh), which I was a bit confused by, so for this I decided to revisit the episode and maybe I'll finally see some things. So lemme list the good stuff, Yang's voice actor does really great and the choreography is super well done, and....um...erm...that's about it unfortunately. It's not just the terrible results (that people have talked to death about at this point) that make this episode bad, it's almost everything else. The visual quality about the animation is super rough (especially Tifa's model my god), the analysis itself is just talking about how amaaaaazing RWBY is, and no it did not make 12/13 year old me check out the show, if anything it made me want to check it out even less. And for Tifa it's basically just 'lol tits', wowie great job Death Battle, and in the animation itself it's not like she was done well either, fuck even Yang was incredibly out of character in the animation. It's as the likes of Wolf in his Season 2 ranking or Nemesis have stated before (as well as you Biff), the problems boil down to almost everything in the episode. Gee golly Tiyang defenders sorry that most of the episode was spent sucking Yang's big fiery dic- 26- Fulgore VS Sektor is indeed an episode of Death Battle, as a matter of fact, it is the Death Battle Episode of all time. It has an analysis, it indeed has two characters in that, and there very much is an animation that has things going on. Every list bit of this episode was breathtaking and special, it absolutely changed my life. I used to be in rock bottom, I was nothing....until my eyes saw this gift from existence. This episode changed my life, so thank you Fulgore VS Sektor for....existing. And you must thank it too. It is most definitely the Death Battle episode of all time. #FulgoreVSSektorSweep, spread the word. 25- Besides the animation I never really got why some people like Guts VS Nightmare, honestly I think it's just the animation they enjoy. I mean yeah it's good, it really gets Nightmare (somewhat lol) and Guts and the sound design as well as certain moments just feel raw as fuck. Too bad the debate was so terrible, wooooow Guts can kill people that are stronger than him, you may as well say that he can fucking kill God. You may as well say that he's multiversal level for fucks sake, really just the way they overly wanked Guts in the entire episode rubbed me the wrong way, and his Berserker Armor didn't even do shit in the animation, good job. Once again though this episode's controversy has been talked to death soooo yeah, the episode is fine, but that's it. 24- Hoo boy Ragna VS Sol does not do either franchise any favors, nothing particularly amazing in the episode it's just sort fine I guess. Again, the analysis sucks on certain degrees and the animation is....fine, good I guess but the shadow puppet show was not it. Honestly though I feel like Nemesis knows a lot more about why this episode is so problematic so yeah- I don't really want to go too into detail about the problems since I'm not a master of either game and I just don't want to take too much time on it hm- 23- I was not looking forward to Goku VS Superman 2, despite them trying to really hype Goku the episode somehow disrespected both characters. Superman's analysis absolutely sucks and while parts of the animation are great....certain parts really suck. Especially the whole clip after Goku's death, yikes it did not do him any favors. This could easily be a 6/10 but this episode brought Alive, which....fuuuuck it's one of my favorite DB tracks ever. But yeah, this didn't feel like some passion project the team dedicated everything into, just more like a 'let's just get this over with already you know who's winning' kind of thing. i have to split this comment into multiple parts because it's too long, wowie so quirky

22- Vader VS Doom is good, but that's it. I don't know maybe it was young me's hype in seeing both characters but after they featured another one of my favorite comic villains, this was pretty disappointing. They really need to bring Vader back, pleaaaaase man I want to see Vader VS Artoria. 21- I used to think Green Arrow VS Hawkeye was great, but now I just kind think it's kinda good. I don't have much to say, helps that this comment is already a fucking essay so I won't waste time, it's good but that's it. You Failed This City is fucking amazing though. 20- Shao Kahn's old episode manages to be way better than his modern one, how amazing. Then again I still actually had respect for him at the time, unlike now where he's just a fucking idiot. This episode was pretty good, the analysis is surprisingly pretty fun and the animation has a lot of great moments....even if the ending is kinda not good. Still, lot of good writing to be appreciated. 19- Personally I never got the hate of Megaman VS Astroboy besides the next time for it being one of the absolute worst, imagine trying to promote some forgotten show by saying 'ohhh you'll see the next time in it.' Quite the jackass move, but when I saw Wolf's Season 2 Ranking all those years ago I still felt pretty confused about why he thought it was the SECOND worst of the season. Like, yowzers. The animation is relatively good, but my favorite part about this episode strangely enough is how it introduced me to 7th Dragon III: Code VFD's OST....HOLLLLLY FUCK THIS SHIT SLAPS YALL NEED TO CHECK IT OUT. 18- I feel like whenever I look at all of these other rankings or lists or 'what's your favorite episode' question, I have managed to come to realize that...I actually have a legitimately unpopular opinion. And no not one of those 'I think GB VS RF is actually a 10/10' type of things, one where a lot of people will legitimately disagree, so here goes nothing. I believe that Pokemon VS Digimon is a great episode....but that's really it for me. I feel like I need to open up with some personal background, so when this was announced my dumbass head believed that it would be the entirety of Pokemon VS Digmon, like all of the collectible companions duking it out. Instead it was just the two trainers with their mains....I personally felt clickbaited. I mean yeah the thumbnail shows who's fighting, but still. I hyped myself up for something that was never gonna happen, I mean no way they would even do that. Don't get me wrong, the episode has great build-up, excellent choreography and animation, and an utterly heartbreaking death. You already talked about it (Biff), but I need to go on about how despite Ash being grievously injured, the first thing he does is try to see if Charizard is okay. Just....fuuuuuck man, even if they didn't go all the way I think the death was still an excellent one. Besides my delusional build-up and disappointment the only other issue I wanna talk about is that some visual stuff isn't too great, I mean yeah other episodes had this problem but still. Also I dunno, I'm not sure the MU makes a great finale, even if the actual product felt like one. 17- Ryu VS Strider is still really fast and fun, it's short, sweet and great even if I didn't know either character at the time. 16- Death Battle did a pretty good job on their first remaster, I mean yeah some parts like Samus blowing up Ray William Johnson's head with a blaster is kind of over the top, but I absolutely enjoyed this episode. The analysis was pretty much improved, and the choreography was pretty enjoyable. It still hurts thinking about Monty Oum dying at an early age, the tribute was really a sweet thing to do though. 15- I'm looking at my tier list and realizing that Fox VS Bucky was above two other Season 2 episodes, I am demoting it as of now. I mean yeah when I was 11 Star Fox still meant a lot to me so seeing Fox in Death Battle was absolutely hype for me at the time. And...I specifically remember absolutely loving the episode, now though I can point out some issues. Slippy got done dirty and it's a damn shame Bucky's analysis wasn't very good. Animation is still pretty good though, and holy fuck the death was shocking. 14- No fucking way was I putting Kirby VS Majin Buu below Fox VS Bucky, so here we are. This manages to be one of the best sprite animations in the early parts of the show and even nowadays, I mean yeah Kid Buu casually blipping Fat Buu was stupid and Kirby being terrified of Buu at the beginning wasn't accurate (if anything he'd be excited as fuck to fight him), but it's still some great stuff. It feels high speed, it's got some great action, and I remember being so hyped seeing Kirby get the upper hand at the end of the fight. 13- Scorpion VS that one guy is pretty great even if the ending fucking sucked, both sprites were well designed and wowie hand drawn moments were actually a thing in the earlier days. The stuff in the Netherrealm were super solid (besides the ending of course), such as Scorpion's sword breaking or that one guy going demon mode. Still weird to think that this was technically a Halloween special and that Ghost Rider canonically fought Scorpion after that one guy got turned into cocaine, hm. 12- Strangely enough I feel like I've never seen anyone really talk about Tigerzord VS Gundam Epyeon, maybe I'm just not immersed enough into the community hm. I don't know either character so I can't say anything about the analysis, but I will say that the beginning of the animation was kinda cringe. Besides that though the fight was pretty great, what always sticks out to me was the death and all of its build-up, hearing the music boom in the background as Gundam Epyeon builds up everything they have and then that funny as fuck line from Saba. 'SON OF A BIIIIII' still cracks me up, and the death scream from White Ranger is probably one of the best in the show like holy fuck. I dunno I wanna hear more people talk about this one....or again I clearly know thing whoops. 11- A damn shame that Terminator VS Robocop couldn't crack the Top 10, I mean this was pretty huge as far as I knew. Still, a lot of great character moments and references, and an excellent start for Torrian. Sure the visual quality is nooooot it, but I loved this one. Kind of sucks that I don't have much to say-

10- I feel like people have already covered He-Man VS Lion-O enough, but I still wanna gush. I just love how perfectly this episode covered the spirit of these cheesy 90's cartoons, stuff like the superb voice acting, the He-Man theming blasting the moment He-Man does ANYTHING cool, even some really stupid but funny lines. Also yes the mountain lifting moment was super raw, naturally at the time animations haven't been able to really capture this kind of thing so it was really cool to see something like it for the first time (I mean yeah Goku VS Superman is right there but still). Miles VS Static is still my second favorite premiere though- 9- Donkey Kong VS Knuckles is still super funny, I mean yeah the whole Knuckles being dumb thing is...well nowadays it doesn't work but it's still hilarious in the animation. I dunno I just love the 'oh no' shit that even repeats in the death. This one was just a lot of fun, also the hype of seeing Wolverine was pretty great. Like I was just thinking of who he could possibly face. 8- Godzilla VS Gamera is still really impressive even to this day, it just really feels like a kaiju battle. I mean yeah certain animations like Godzilla getting up (I think) or the water looking kinda ehhhh are there but it's super minor for me. Once I again I feel like there are certain things we may never get in modern episodes, like the sheer suspense of Godzilla rising from the water before he ultimately finishes off Gamera (ok Gamera technically kamikazed but Godzilla pretty much won at that point). 7- It's still really interesting seeing the research they used for the Starter Battle Royale, and it also feels like it is implicated into the animation super well. I mean yeah....Blastoise is pretty much a camper but it's still really great. Once again I feel like this episode is super carried by a nostalgia factor, but there's so much that I enjoy. And BOTH deaths managed to be excellent in their own ways. I'd definitely be interested in seeing more episodes taken in this kind of direction regarding analysis and interactions. 6- I friggin' adore Hercule VS Dan, and to think that we're not even in the Top 5. It's still one of the funniest episodes to date and both voice actors do an excellent job, and both characters managed to get some really cool moments even if the point of the episode was to show how they're both kinda pathetic. Also Hercule definitely blitzes Asta, no questions asked. 5- I don't care that Chuck VS Segata was a gag episode, it was friggin' AWESOME. It still manages to be one of my favorite sprite animations because of how utterly ridiculous it gets, also Air Gear OST slaps no cap. Analysis was relatively fun though that's mostly because they're covering a joke episode (y'know the good kind), and in general this episode just focuses on what it does best: Being utterly ridiculous without limits. I dunno I hope we get more of this. 4- Despite everything that it is, Deadpool VS Deathstroke is the SECOND funniest episode of the show. I mean that says a lot considering the hilarious writing it has, then again Deadpool has become so overly sapped on the show. I still manage to enjoy every moment of the animation (even if yeah the ending kinda sucks), even though Deadpool basically steals the show Deathstroke is also pretty good in it too. And the whole part where Deadpool starts breakdances, it is perfection. Seriously, if this is how it is we need to get more Death Battle writers drunk....ok in all seriousness let's not do that but y'know up to them. I just realized that the rest of the episodes here are 3D....ouch. 3- Wolverine VS Raiden is the perfect example of just pure adrenaline and hype, with the exception of the stupid metal skeleton because I guess Wolverine decided to take notes from Lex VS Doom. There's so much energy that I don't think any other episode has really captured, and I'm so glad that I was introduced to Raiden with this because Metal Gear Rising is absolutely goated. And yeah I was genuinely shocked by Wolverine's death, and yes I still think the results are relatively accurate, though certain franchise power rules are kind of a weird factor. Also Exo is absolutely awesome, like it just feels like a Metal Gear Rising track minus all of the really weird philosophical stuff going on in the lyrics. 2- I think objectively, Sam VS Snake is the best episode of not just the season but the entire show. Death Battle took all of the elements that made the 3D fights so great and just refined it here. The way the utilities are used and countered is well done, I love the build-up and how it feels like an actual in-game mission (kinda), and it doesn't feel like any moment is wasted. Everything here is practically perfect, at worst great (though i dunno if the computer Sam used was how it worked, hmmmmm nitpicking), and Snake honestly steals the show with some of his lines. Again, that 'You're pretty good' moment is pure CINEMA. The final knife duel is still one of the best final showdowns in Death Battle history, overall there's just so much that I cannot possibly cover. Ever since being introduced to Snake via Smash Bros Brawl I always wanted to see him on Death Battle, granted I never knew Sam Fisher until I saw a really old Top 10 DB MUs I want to see video, but still. Death Battle and Torrian managed to create something that went infinity beyond my expectations, I'm so happy that this turned out how it did. It feels SUPER dirty to not give this the number one spot since as I said, this episode is the closest thing to perfect, but I'll explain when I get there. 1- I hate being predictable. A lot of people have said that Iron Man VS Lex Luthor is one of their favorite episodes, and I am not an exception, without question. When Iron Man was announced for the next episode I was beyond excited and I couldn't wait to see who he would faced. And then Lex Luthor is revealed a few moments later, and I was absolutely interested. Iron Man is still one of my all time favorite superheroes, granted that title goes to either Batman or Spider-Man but he still means a lot to me. And Lex is still one of my favorite comic villains, he's just a really interesting analysis on the people who would fear a powerful superhero and is just overall really great. And similar to Snake VS Sam it felt like I was watching a genuine Marvel VS DC crossover, I could easily imagine the set-up being for some kind of animated show or movie. The voice actors do a great job for both characters, granted Lex's VA comes back to do a much better performance for when he fights Doom. Both characters switched abilities when it felt right to do so and the choreography is really well done. The dialogue is also really fun and in-character, Tony gets great lines (though I'll get to THE one later) and Lex has some solid monologues. Everything so far is great to excellent, but what really makes the episode deliver is the climax. Right when it looks like Lex has the upper hand after the funny Injustice super move, Tony uses his final card and absolutely steals the show. I still remember being blown away by this moment when I was still a meek 12 year old, granted Lex doesn't go down without a fight. Unfortunately these kinds of moments probably wouldn't be captured in modern Death Battle, which is absolutely not the show's fault at show. I mean they really got close to it with Saitama VS Popeye, I mean certain moments that truly have all of the elements. It's as simple as changing the music, speaking of which the Aldnoah.Zero track used absolutely gives me chills, at least the complete moment. And the ending with Pepper calling Tony just adds to the feeling of this being a genuine crossover and it also just pretty funny. Overall this episode just came together for me perfectly. Does it have problems? Definitely. Some things in the animation haven't aged too well since it isn't always polished and the conclusion is....not very good since it barely goes into anything besides 'Lex can only really harm Kryptonians'. Again, Snake VS Sam is the objectively better episode but I just have this personal connection to this specific episode if nothing else. It personally symbolizes how much I grew up with the show and just watching this specific episode made me realize how far they came since Wonder Woman's lasso coming out of her hand and being a straight line. I just had to pick what I believed to be my personal favorite, and I don't think it'll ever change....unless they do Gru VS Megamind SHHHHHHHH- i hate the fact that this had to be in 3 parts but oh well

Honestly I really want Ryu to return but mainly in the form of a Ryu with crossover feats factored in to give some new stuff to talk about. Like his Complete Change ability from MVC to swap fighting styles to match that of Ken and Akuma (which I see acting as a more sane Evil Ryu form and thus pretty much anything Evil Ryu can do Akuma Mode can likely do the same), his Ryu Ranger form, Shin Ryu (which they mentioned in his episode with Jin but never used), and even Ryu's Dark Hado being compared by Thanos to a fuckin Infinity Stone among other cool things. While I have heard the idea of other composite fighting game protagonists given that Ryu crossovers with King of Fighters, Tekken, and even Guilty Gear through the former do exist, I prefer someone Ryu hasn't met canonically. Someone Composite Scorpion could be interesting and I really like it conceptually but as an actual Death Battle it's probably my least wanted for Ryu since I don't want Composite Ryu to be wasted on a rematch. Personally I'd want Composite Ryu to fight Capsule Corp Goku from Heroes because CC Goku is already a composite of Goku with the DBS Anime and both Toei DBZ Anime and Movies with the addition of the Hakai used by DBS Manga Goku, and because I really, really like this MU a lot, being my Number 1 most wanted MU for about a year now back when it was originally DBS Manga Goku before people pointed out how unfair it was for a Composite to fight a specific version of the character and soon realized CC Goku was the better option due to already being a canonical composite and because he has everything that made me fall in love with the original idea and more.

Gushing over Yang and her series isn’t a problem in a vacuum. The problem is that because Tifa and Final Fantasy aren’t shown the same level of enthusiasm, coupled with how buddy buddy they were with RT, made things feel very skewed like the whole thing existed solely to hype Yang up and get on RT’s good side. I’m not gonna say that’s why she won, but at the same time dismissing Tifa’s better strength feats did not do them any favours.

You know looking back at Luigi VS Tails its not as bad as I think it is, but as a Luigi fan its not for me. I mean imagine my reaction seeing my favorite Mario character getting absolutely bodied the whole time its just depressing. I'm just glad someone else agrees that this match up shouldn't be remastered for episode 200, but for some reason I have the feeling that Death Battle is going to do it anyway, and just like Mario VS Sonic they'll make Luigi win just to satisfy Luigi fans. If you ask me if Luigi did return to Death Battle I honestly think Pac-Man would be a better opponent for the green thunder.

As someone that shares the same opinion as Nem on Godzilla VS Gamera, I have to defend it against one of your points Biff. The point about the animation looking slow isn’t jank, but is accurate for the movements of both characters since they aren’t like humans where they are super fast. I can see why you mistake it for jank since you’ve only watched the Monsterverse Godzilla movies which has Godzilla move much faster but still, I felt like I should point that out since I think Torian was taking inspiration from the Hesei movies of both monsters that have them move slowly on the ground. Other than that a fair analysis for the episode considering you’re unfamiliar with both characters.

I personally dislike Mega Man vs Astro Boy almost purely for research stuff. There's no way an oil tanker is heavier than an entire future castle, they ignored every single good speed feat and scaling for Rock and they also pretty much stole the only win of Rock's actually good matchups. He was never winning the Mega Man Battle Royale, Classic or Modern Super Sonic stomps him into the dirt even without universal scaling, most versions of Optimus Prime should beat him... Oh, and Rock's quote was a god damn KZbin poop, something I will never not be salty about.

Wow you weren't lying when you said we'd see you tomorrow 32. Gaara vs Toph is one of the worst episodes of all time post season 1 and it is somehow even worse than I remember. The animation is painfully slow and has almost no redeeming qualities aside from it visually looking fine. The research as well is terrible and the arguments they give make no sense. I didn't even care for the analysis that much, as I just found it mid and I was basically indifferent to it the whole video. 2/10 31. Godzilla vs Gamera is the worst 3D fight in the entire series. I'm no stranger to hot takes, and season 2 is definitely full of them. The animation makes Batgirl vs Spider-Gwen and Link vs Cloud 1 look like Ryu vs Jin with how slow and stiff it is. The fight just drags on forever and it's an absolute slog to get through with some of the worst visuals in the entire series. The only thing stopping me from outright hating this episode is that the analysis was enjoyable. Sorry Nem but this episode is absolutely terrible. 3/10 30. Fox vs Bucky is boring but it's not nearly as bad as I remembered it being. I remember it being the worst of the season by far, but really it's just the third worst. The analysis is bland and the entire Bucky O'Hare theme playing was unnecessary and just killed the analysis for me. The animation itself is visually pretty bad and is mostly just slow and boring. The kill was great but overall this episode was pretty bad. 4/10 29. Luigi vs Tails sucks! The research is somehow even worse than Luigi vs Thor on Rewind Rumble as instead of wanking Luigi to be stronger than Thor, they downplay him to not even being strong enough to lift a radish. Even though he lifted it just fine and only struggled with uprooting it, and Tails could barely even pull the 10 ton weight in the clip they showed. The fight itself is really slow and boring but at least its visually alright unlike Fox vs Bucky. It should've been Luigi vs Shadow instead. 4/10 28. Fulgore vs Sektor is boring and I remember almost nothing about it. The analysis was white-noise for me like most for seasons 1 and 2, and the fight was just lame. Visually it's not that great and the fighting itself is just bland and boring. Overall this episode gives almost nothing to talk about. 4/10 27. Batman vs Captain America is one of the most boring fights in the entire show. The analysis was decent, but the animation was just so lame. Visually the fight was really good and the few hits landed were fast paced and had pretty good impact. But the fight is just one combo string at the start and then just kinda peters out until Batman punches Cap a thousand feet in the air and then kills him in an uncharacteristically brutal death. Overall this is somehow even more boring than Batman vs Black Panther and is easily the worst of Batman's four episodes. 4/10 26. Beast vs Goliath is another painfully boring episode and I have no clue how I had the audacity to give it a 7/10 previously. The analysis just devolves into a boring clip-show similar to Fox vs Bucky and even though the animation has more going on that Batman vs Captain America, it's still pretty weak. It's only around a minute long and there isn't much that really stands out. Overall it was barely even a fight and one of the most boring episodes in the series. 4/10 25. The Pokémon Battle Royale is alright. I know I'm gonna be dropping a lot of controversial opinions here but I only just found this episode to be decent enough. The analysis was okay and the fight was pretty similarly okay as well. It's kinda basic and slow but it's still pretty good for what it is. Overall one of the many episodes of season 2 that I think is overrated. 6/10 24. Yang vs Tifa is not a 10/10 Deathstroke you fucking idiot! Even though the choreography is fantastic and the animation is mostly pretty fluid, the fight quite possibly has the worst visuals of any episode excluding DBX. Even Bomberman vs Dig Dug is visually better than this graphical abomination that looks like it was rendered by AnimationRewind in MMD for another Undertale episode. Yang hair's is also glitching out throughout the entire fight. The research is also really awful and the RoosterTeeth sponsorship doesn't do it any favors. Overall this episode is one of the many examples of how I ignored the problems of episodes to just blindly give them 9's and 10's. Lex vs Doom is better than this episode. 6/10 23. White Tigerzord vs Gundam Epyon is one of the many season 2 episodes that everyone thinks is amazing that I only found decent. The fight is mostly pretty slow but there were some fun interactions and the death was really good. Overall I don't really remember much from this fight but I still didn't mind it. 6/10 22. He-Man vs Lion-O is quite possibly the most overrated episode in Death Battle history. Everyone seems to think it's the greatest thing Death Battle's ever made, but I just found it to be pretty decent. The analysis was alright and the fight was as well. It was kinda slow, but it had some good moments like He-Man throwing the mountain. The death was pretty awful, as He-Man just falls Lion-O in a really unimpactful scene that comes out of nowhere. Also I didn't really find this episode that funny, I guess it's because I'm not an 80's kid (Sorry LEGO Dimensions developers), but aside from a few moments, I didn't think it was the most hilarious thing ever like everyone else seems to think it is. Overall I think I was pretty harsh on this episode at first, it's definitely good, but it's overrated like most episodes this season. 6/10 21. Shao Kahn vs M. Bison is alright. The analysis is pretty neat and even though the fight is kinda slow with Shao Kahn's stupid sprites that almost rival his model in season 8's worst fight, I still liked it. The death though is pretty fucking bad since Final Bison gets stomped like he's nothing and then we get a painfully slow scene of Shao Kahn hitting M Bison with a hammer and jankily ripping him in half. Overall this episode is fine. 6/10 20. Ivy vs Orchid is honestly not that bad. The animation is really fast paced and it honestly had way more going on than Beast vs Goliath or Batman vs Captain America. However its still extremely short and only gets a 6/10. 19. Guts vs Nightmare is pretty solid. The animation is really good and has some of the best sound design in the series, but it's a bit slow at points and the death is pretty stupid. The verdict however is garbage and the logic they use makes no sense at all. 7/10 18. Samus vs Boba Fett 2 is Boba Fett's best episode by far which is a little sad considering he's been on three times. The animation is pretty short and far from Torrian's best, but it's still visually really nice and has some really fast paced action. It's nothing amazing, but I still thought it was better than his fight with Predator and easily dwarfs the original in quality and overall enjoyment. 7/10 17. Doctor Doom vs Darth Vader is one of the most nostalgic episodes of all time for me. I get that most people find it boring, but I still really like it. The analysis is really enjoyable and the first half of the fight is honestly pretty great. However once the real Doctor Doom comes in and they time travel to dinosaur times, the fight goes downhill a lot. It gets really slow and most of it is just Doom kicking Vader's ass until he throws him into a volcano. Overall this episode is pretty underrated, but still not that great. 7/10

It doesn't compare to Ryu's other fight, but it's still a really solid episode. 7.5/10 14. Kirby vs Majin Buu is pretty overrated, but I still enjoyed it a lot. The animation is really long and action-packed, but there are some slow moments that drag it down for me. The whole scene of Fat Buu getting killed by Kid Buu brought the pace of the fight down a ton and wasn't necessary at all. Although the fight does pick up a lot afterwards with the great fight between Kid Buu and Kirby, it kinda peters out towards the end and gets kinda slow. Overall I don't think this is the greatest episode in the series like everyone thinks it is, but I still really like it. 7.5/10 13. Ryu Hayabusa vs Strider Hiryu is the first truly great episode on the ranking. The animation is fast paced all throughout and ends with one of the best deaths in the season. 8/10 12. Terminator vs Robo Cop is easily the best of the pre Deadpool vs Deathstroke era of the season. The analysis is really good and despite how visually its aged, I still love the fight scene. Unlike a lot of other old episodes, the fight is an absolute blast and still holds up as one of the most fun episodes of the season. 8/10 11. Mega Man vs Astro Boy is a pretty controversial episode, but I still love it. I don't get why people see the animation is slow and bad because I really enjoyed it. It's fast paced and we get to see a ton of abilities used from Mega Man to make the fight really entertaining, and the animation was not only finished in only 2 days, but it also wasn't traced like the Cartoon Fight Club episode. Overall a really great episode and the superior of Mega Man's two episodes, fight me. 8/10 10. Goku vs Superman 2 is quite possibly the most controversial episode in the entire series, but I also love it a ton. The analysis was really unique and I enjoyed it a lot. The fight meanwhile is absolutely fantastic. It's fast paced, visually amazing, and has some great music with one of the first custom tracks in the series. My biggest problems with the episode though are the no-limits-fallacy, how they disrespected Superman throughout the analysis, and how it just didn't live up to the first at all aside from the better visuals. Compared to the first, it felt like it was just any other random episode with nothing special about it. The first meanwhile is one of the greatest episodes in the series that's only rivaled by Saitama vs Popeye with its sheer scale and how much it pushes itself to be the magnum opus of the show. I still love this episode, but it's got a ton of problems. 8/10 9. Chuck Norris vs Segeta Sanshiro is one of the best gag episodes Death Battle has ever done. The fight goes absolutely hard with top tier sound design and amazing moments like they two destroying and throwing planets at each other. My only big problem however is the cop-out ending and the general shortness of the fight. Still an amazing episode. 8.5/10 8. Donkey Kong vs Knuckles is just as nostalgic as Vader vs Doom, but actually a great episode. The analysis is one of my favorites of the season and the fight is even better. It's got a ton of personality and really fast paced action and is overall an absolute blast. 9/10 7. Ragna vs Sol Badguy is one of the most underrated episodes in the series. The analysis is quite possibly my favorite in the whole show with easily the funniest jokes in the whole series. I know everyone hates Ragna's analysis for disrespecting BlazBlue and all that, but to me those people are one of the many examples of how people just take this show way too seriously and sometimes don't know how to have fun with it. Ragna's analysis was hilarious with how much they make fun of BlazBlue and Sol's has the amazing That Man interaction which is easily one of my favorite moments in the series. The animation meanwhile is really underappreciated. Most people seem to think its boring, but I thought it was really fast paced and amazing all throughout aside from the ending. Speaking of the ending its the one thing stopping this fight from being a 10/10 along with how short the fight is overall. The death is just really bad unfortunately and ended the great fight off on a sour note. This episode is still a personal favorite of mine and I think it deserves more attention. 9/10 6. Hercule vs Dan is the best sprite of the season by far. It's easily one of the funniest episodes in the series not only in the analysis, but also the fight. Although the action isn't really much, the character interactions and voice acting in this episode are amazing and make it one of my favorite sprites fights of all time. 9.5/10 5. Charizard vs Greymon (I refuse to call it Pokémon vs Digimon) was an absolutely fantastic way to end the season. The fight isn't one of the greatest that Torrian has done, but its still up there for me and its amazing all throughout. 9.5/10 4. Solid Snake vs Sam Fisher is a masterpiece. The fight tells a really great story along with having amazing choreography all throughout and towards the end the fight goes absolutely hard. This episode has quite possibly the greatest climax of any episode aside from Hulk vs Doomsday and it easily gets this episode to a 10/10! 3. Deadpool vs Deathstroke was the turning point of this season. Up to this episode, season 2 was honestly really weak with most episodes just being decent enough or even downright bad. However once this episode dropped, the season just became an absolute classic. Deadpool vs Deathstroke is incredible with an amazing analysis and one of the best fight scenes in the whole show. Torrian goes absolutely hard and we get a really long fight that gets to include a ton and has badass and hilarious moments all throughout. Overall this is easily one of the greatest episodes of all time. 10/10! 2. Ironman vs Lex Luthor is an absolute classic. Not only is the action great all throughout, but the writing is absolutely fantastic and makes it feel like a genuine crossover more than almost any other in the series. The ending especially is up there with Snake vs Sam for me and no me from 2 years ago, Shadow vs Ryuko doesn't even fucking touch this fight in any way at all. I've been playing human is quite possibly my favorite line in all of Death Battle and it makes the climax go as hard as humanly possible. 10/10! 1. Wolverine vs Raiden is quite possibly in my top five favorites of all time. The dialogue isn't that great unlike the other 10/10's, but the action goes absolutely hard in a way that hardly anything else in the series does. The choreography is legitimately insane and the action is absolutely god-tier all throughout. The ending especially goes hard with an amazing final duel between Jack the Ripper and Berserker Wolverine, and then one of the greatest deaths in the entire series. Overall this episode is one of the many examples of how Torrian is just untouchable and no matter how good the blender team does with the their episodes, none of them can really hold up to episodes like this. 10/10!

Alright so I rewatched a few of these episodes and now even more of my rankings have changed. Ryu vs Scorpion got up to an 8/10 for me now and would be between Ryu vs Strider and Robocop vs Terminator, and Ragna vs Sol dropped to an 8 and would be between Mega Man vs Astro Boy and Goku vs Superman 2

Yo biff, the reason why kid buu 1tapped fat buu is because buu's can absorb each other, like when evil buu ate fat buu to become super buu in the actual anime.

If I'm remembering right, Evil Buu had to redirect the candy beam and absorb Buu after he was basically already dead. Fat Buu has actually fought Kid Buu before, and while he did lose in the end he still didn't go down in one shot.
