Came here purely for the ritual kill where doakes was present. The acting is phenomenal on the actor who played doakes, fact he looked so sick and repulsed by it all at the end, he was in such shock that he knew dexter was a much larger monster than he could ever imagine.

Where's Little Chino? He's the one guy that's ever escaped Dexter's grasp with sheer force and he ultimately got Dexter's "groove" back when he got recaptured and securely tied down so Dexter could finish the job. It's easily one of the best filmed kills too. How Dexter reopens his cut to collect the blood (his "trophy"), how he feels his steadiness return holding Chino's machete over him, their exchange of words, and the shot of Chino's wrapped arm showing his bloody heart tattoo (his own "trophy") being framed by his own blood. It's easily the most "cinematic" or "ritualistic" of all of Dexter's rituals.

When Dexter tells Doakes "Dont worry Sgt I wont make you watch" is really fucked. Not watching that shit means you won't be able to process it, which means that shit will stick with you longer.
