The greatest of all time. No one dominated golf like Jack. No one had the longevity. No one had more class.

Everything about this is great. An old Nicklaus at the end of his career, battling one last time to make the weekend at Valhalla. Determined, drenched in sweat, a true competitor. And a passing of the torch to his playing partner Tiger Woods who, despite being laser focused on winning the tournament (which he did), likely enjoyed taking a back seat-even if for a few seconds over each of Nicklaus' swings-to the GOAT!

3:18 I thought Jack was a terrible wedge player. lol Love that look Tiger gave him after the final hole.....like "yep, you are a bad man and everything I expected." Only in golf can you have moments like this passing of the torch. Simply awesome to see.

I watched Nicklaus once on one hole. He hit a wild drive, then hit a brilliant wedge off hardpan to a few feet. Not what you'd expect. I was truly amazed at how he could focus at all with the crowd breathing all over him. Watched Tiger once as well. His swing was amazing to watch, and the crowds were similarly suffocating, but he was having a bad round, and his behavior was atrocious. Very different characters. I'm glad Jack was the guy when I was young.

Tiger had all the shots, Jack never did, he didn't need them.

@@mikegrebe536 Tiger was the most talented player ever. Some consider that to be the GOAT. I don't. To me the person with the best record over the course of a career when you adjust for field strength is the GOAT. Tiger's career was just too short to be the GOAT. Jack has 37 top 2s. Tiger barely has that many top 10s. Jack was just way more consistent and he did for a decade longer at the top and was still relevant in his 50s. The BOAT (Best of All Time) is a better title for Tiger.

Hogan and Jones are also in the running. All 4 did a lot of amazing things that the other three didn't. Ultimately, there is no answer, and it's probably a foolish pursuit.
