Throw 5gram of lead tape on the driver toe, ... so it becomes fade bias, and you can keep your normal action. And not have to mentally create a action. The tape will delay the toe from closing, you should then be neutral to baby fade. If you try making a fade , via using it as a correction, you could end up creating a slice. Tweak your equipment, you in season, no time for swing tweaks.

That's the type of round where you play with someone and you're thinking if this dude could just stop beating himself with these small mistakes he'd be kicking my ass right now. You're hitting super pure, impressive stuff, good luck man!

Great content. It's refreshing to see such an honest overview. Your narrative is spot on. Very relatable. I clicked on this as the Jamega used to be played at my club about 10 years ago. Had the pleasure of a few pro-am rounds and I have to say, even playing off 6, you boys play a different game to me. It was a pleasure to watch then....as it was again today. But main reason for posting was in response to your approach to the mental side. You're right you know. It does need tightening up. Now this may or may not be for you, but there are big gains to be had here with CBD. Especially with younger tour players looking to maintain focus throughout a tournament. One of my best mates happens to have launched a company a year ago. He's a superb consultant and works with guys just like you. Katrina Matthews is the main brand ambassador. Laura Davies is now on board, as are a host of male pro's. It's reputable. If you're interested, I'd be happy to introduce you and share the company name so you could have a chat about it. (chose not to now as didn't want to seem like a cheap advertising stunt) But either way my friend, good luck moving forward. Successful tournament golf does require the strongest of mental games. Add that to your 290 yard utility irons and around Surrey courses, you'll be deadly ;)

Moi cela m’inspire !!!! Merci James!!!

Def looking smoother. Nice to see you getting the ball up to the hole!. Can you explain the penalty more?.
@chrisbaker19673 жыл бұрын
He marked his ball in the fairway with a tee, picking up the ball. WHen he got back, he accidentally picked up the tee before replacing the ball so the position was no longer marked, so he incurred the penalty.

This is my home course, im a 12 handicap and played the downs a thousand times. I can't believe how easy you made this course look. Playing off the oranges is daunting, let alone the back tees which can add on a good 75 - 100 yards (especially on the second). Your putting is insane. The camera doesn't do justice to how easy you made this look. I was looking forward to this video so much and im glad you did it. My dad and I thought this was awesome. Keep going james!!

Thanks for the comment Jack! Yeah KZbin never does the greens justice, it’s impossible to see the contours as you would in person. I really enjoyed the course though, you’ve got a decent home course here! 👊

james , ive heard you mention the decade golf strategy system before . i see in these videos that you are hitting a huge amount of irons off the tees. the whole idea behind decade would be to git driver as much as it makes sense (62 yards between ob or hazard) to then be hitting less club into the greens then with narrower dispersion . give yourself more in positions gir inside 15 feet statistically making more putts then . Have you considered just experimenting with just hitting as many drivers as you can in a jamega event see how results differ ?

Good playing. Persistence pays off in the end. Since you say you are struggling with chipping, welcome to the club (its a large club). However, I recently watched a YT video by AlexElliottEvans where he was using a tee peg. Since I have been struggling on our tight, dormant Bermuda grass (tight as a rusted lug nut), I gave it about 10 minutes of practice and I AM AMAZED! Take the 15 minutes to watch the video and you will see what I mean. Good information can come from diverse places. Best of luck to you in future comps.

Rhythym looked way better this week and you had opportunities to score, so that's a big positive. Short game needs a polish and there's always going to be a few lapses when you are making changes, but think you can be really happy with that round, conditions looked harsh. It is getting better, you are scrambling better and hitting less wayward shots from the tee, the trend is in the right direction. 5 over is not bad especially in those windy conditions and you can see with some tidying up could easily have been lower.

Great video - appreciate all the shots shown. Great golf! I normally swing with an out-in path of about 1-2 degrees. And this is a fade for me. In your opinion, is this something I should be correcting? I have this (mistaken?) assumption that an out to in path means I am going over the top. Thanks!

Some really positive signs James - some great swings and good strategy with club selection to find fairways - shame a few shots got away from you and a couple of mis reads on the greens and +2 or level would have been a reasonable return - great first put of the day by the way!! 1:15 and 7:10 and 7:40 watch on these shots when you hit left, the clubhead at takeaway comes inside very quickly instead of straight back. Focus on taking the club head straight back or maybe visualize taking it to the outside for a cut. Compare those to 8:47 and 10:51 11:30 best swing 13:44 perfect takeaway and tempo
