It would be nice to add clones to the ARC. There were 2 variants of ARC clones: 1. Full-fledged ARKs that have undergone full training, including Alphas, nulls, muunulists, Rancors and others. 2. ARC recruiters, ordinary clones who somehow proved themselves and received incomplete express training, so the recruiters were ordinary infantry, with increased combat capabilities, but much inferior to the same ARF and even more so to full-fledged ARC and RC clones.

Not to mention that the first classes of ARC Troopers were genetically engineered to be more independent(or Jango like) than the battlefield promoted ARC troopers. Null Class ARC Troopers were so fiercely independent to the point where they left the republic the first opportunity they had. Alpha Class ARCs were a bit more obedient in that aspect, but still exhibited independent qualities, like disagreeing with Jedi orders when given the chance. In Legends(as Null and Alpha Class ARCs don't appear in the Clone Wars show), they were even seen disobeying Order 66 since they had unaltered minds.

A bad batch has a huge number of weaknesses due to them being highly developed in some areas and at the same time greatly weakened in others. That is, if ordinary RC squads develop evenly and are supplemented only by deeper training inherent in their specialization, and during the course of service, these clones strengthen and complement each other and, if necessary, can effectively act alone. Then the bad batch is not developed at all evenly, one is super strong, but stupid, the second is super smart, but physically weak, the third shoots accurately, but does not work well in a team, the fourth is generally a disabled robot, also preparing an ordinary clone, and the fifth Rambaud is unfinished. Such a group is very unbalanced and absolutely any situation where there is something very difficult, they will not cope with it, with 100% confidence.

@chopper3940 So, you've got a lot right, but a couple of things could use a touch-up. - There are actually 4 variants of ARCs: the Nulls (like Ordo and Prudii), the Alphas (like Fordo and Alpha-17), the ARC Training Program commanders (like Rex, Cody, and Bly), and the promoted ARCs (like Fives and Echo). The Nulls and Alphas are different enough to be considered different types of ARCs and the ARC Training Program commanders are kind of iffy on whether or not they can actually be fully considered ARCs. - The Muunilinst 10 are Alpha ARCs, so there was no reason to distinguish the two. - The Rancor Battalion ARCs were not originally ARCs and are closer to the commanders as they are also graduates of the ARC Training Program, which was specifically made to create more ARCs/free thinking officers for the war.

For the lack of extra protection on eod armor: they were gonna make special looking armor for the bomb squad but that season was overtime and over budget so they scrapped the idea of paying for the man hours of designing and animating something new and just gave them orange painted normal armor. They look cool anyways though

It kind of makes sense though for them to have the same kind of armour. If you think about it they are getting up close and personal with bombs they are trying to disarm, if they go off, there is very little that exrta armour can do for them, so why waste money building them special suits for no reason.

@@ClonedGamer001 That is true, however that is dealing with modern day bombs in our universe, bombs in the star wars universe seem to be far more powerful then ours (obviously) and in a situation like the one that we see in the show, where they are in an underground bunker with thousands of explosives surrounding them, even if they had literal indestructible ray shield spheres, they would be buried alive until they slowly suffocated or starved. They probably do have additional armour, but in this situation it was probably better to emphasize speed and mobility, so they opted to leave it behind, because if they failed, the only thing that could save them is Disney's magic ability to revive the dead.

Clone shadow troopers are my favourite troopers. They were pretty much the "Black ops" unit of the clone army and leave no traces of their precense behind. They also had suppressed blasters. Shows how fully equipped they were.

Definitely the best ARFs for me. The ARF perform extremely important roles for the clone army, such as vanguard and rearguard battles, reconnaissance, reconnaissance in force, supporting the main forces, covering the flanks, even sabotage and much more. These guys can literally work in the most difficult conditions, separately from the main forces, be without equipment for a long time and conduct an effective battle even when cut off from the forces of the republic. I would even compare ARF clones with full-fledged ARC and RC clones in some aspects.

They are claimed to be the best the GAR has to offer and like in a class of their own like the Spartans of the GAR or something but in canon we got honestly nothing to show this but the one real time we do see it is in the old clone wars show from The early 2000s and some Panels in a comic showing off Alpha 17. Both are legends now. BUT the commandoes? They are truly awesome no matter what continuity.

Like, in the Clone Wars, they showed us the RC, only at one point, when they were bringing the Jedi bodies into the temple, we didn't see any ARC at all, except for the commanders and Rex. ARC recruits, like Fives, Echo, and Jesse don't count, they have nothing to do with full-fledged ARC. I would like to see, even if it's a fan-made, high-quality work that would tell about all three elite types of columns, ARC, RC, ARF.

The Arc's that were in legends that you are referring to are the Null Arcs which were specifically trained under the same mandalorians who trained the clone commandos. They were to independent and therefore were going to be disposed of if not for Mandalorian Kal Skirata

In Legends, Commandos were considered below ARCs in the military hierarchy, at least in practice, because ARCs are far more powerful than the commandos even with Commandos fancy armour. In canon it is unclear.

From what I remember, it's because ARCs were promoted from distinction in battle and regularly served on the battlefield as in-field commanders whereas commandos were squads of 4 created for the purpose of high-risk/high-reward tasks. On the battlefields, ARCs were the commanders of battalions and worked alongside their Jedi Generals to direct and lead the troops in battle, but a squad of commandos (especially as lethal as Delta squad) would be considered a battalion themselves. In Legends, the commandos were handpicked by Jango and trained together to create a bond of brothers, whereas the ARCs were like your Halo Spartan supersoldier. So in terms of ranks, ARCs are individually greater than their commando brothers, but one would almost certainly take the squad of highly specialized commandos over a single (though highly capable) ARC. Current canon has been changing clone lore quite a bit though, so it could be subject to change, but with Delta being confirmed canon and regularly touted as receiving the most dangerous missions of the Clone Wars, it's safe to say as a unit they're more than capable of handling the types of missions from their game and novels in Legends.

In Legends, several squads of commandos died fighting a convoy of trandoshan mercenaries and some battle droids. In the same comic it happened, the ARC troopers are clearly portrayed to be superior to commanders in both command rank and effectiveness. Furthermore, ARC troopers were the ones who were specially created and enhanced for their roles as killing machines by Fett, they were never intended as command officers at all which is why they were rarely permanently assigned to a unit. Instead they trained clone commanders and fought battles that Clone Commandos didn't have the battle experience to deal with. The commandos were supposed to be subtle while the ARC troopers weren't.

Commandos were a scalpel for precision target destruction behind enemy lines which is why their armour was more heavily armed and had more versatile gear. Null arcs were basically just jango in clone gear and very few served or were made And were replaced with alpha arcs Alpha arcs were basically null arcs but slightly more controllable and were used for high risk high reward high speed missions. They were extremely skilled. Examples are alpha-77 Fordo and alpha-17 Alpha

I believe the 501st really just counts as a highly veteran regiment containing a larger number of Arc troopers. Although honestly in some cases it can be a bit fuzzy when it comes to environment specialisations, where in quite a few cases its better to describe it as standard clone troopers simply adapting their armour to better match their environment rather than truly being a district trooper type.

Each major clone unit, starting with the battalion, is to some extent autonomous. These units have a bunch of different types of clones in order to perform many different tasks. This will also simplify troop logistics, where you won’t have to rush dozens of different types of units from one area to another. And stealth missions are simply for us to watch how clones of our “favorite” unit perform tasks that are not typical for them. Full-fledged ARC or RC clones would be better suited for these tasks, and even ARF clones would be better in such a situation, although this is the opposite range of their tasks.

1. They weren’t even aiming at the clone, but at the Shagohod itself; the missile would have missed it anyway if the clone hadn’t come at it himself. 2. AT-RT shooters were trained to shoot at such targets, so that the AT-RT could conduct a tight defense, destroying some projectiles flying mostly directly at them, but hitting a projectile that was not flying at the walker itself was practically impossible.

Arc trooper fives is the greatest soldier to ever serve in the grand army of the republic, apparently distinguishable by his number five tattoo on the right side of his face. As a great soldier: Cody promoted fives and his brother and best friend to the military rank of arc trooper lieutenants. Unfortunately: during the rescue mission to the prison: the citadel, echo died in an explosion while trying to save his brothers and loyal Jedi officer allies, making his partner: the last soldier to serve. He was assigned to conquer Umbara with his 501st clone buddies. General Skywalker was replaced by a droid army agent and future Sith warrior: Pong Krell. He was not a fond of the clones. Fives was always loyal to his commanding officer and mentor: Clone Captain Rex. Before fives was promoted to arc trooper lieutenant, he and his brothers were privates because of their new armor that had been given by the time they graduated from training to fully fledged clone troopers. Fives was a great soldier with discipline, loyalty, valor, honor, courage and bravery. Still sucks that fives died protecting the republic. May the force be with him.

ARC troopers were created as chain of command links between the Jedi and the clones on the field. Why? Because the Kaminoans had doubts/reservations about the ability of the Jedi to be military commanders,so they decided to create a breed of clone that could. As many who comment will rightly point out,while ARC is will obey you at the end of the day, unlike standard clones, they are capable of some degree of pushback due to being more like Jango Fett. This pushback allows the ARC troopers to offer input into any strategies and such, basically it allows them a say in how the mission will be run.

ARC recruits are weaker than clone specialists, what can we say about the clones of the galactic infantry or the same ARF which are the best combat unit on the battlefield and can be compared with RC. And with full-fledged ARC clones such as alphas and nulls, ARC recruits have nothing in common except the name.

BARC pilots were simply BARC speeder pilots, they had excellent piloting skills with this particular vehicle, but in other respects their training was exactly the same as ordinary clones. In addition, BARC pilots are the type of clones that came out of the ARF. If BARC pilots only knew how to control a BARC speeder, then ARF clones knew how to control all reconnaissance vehicles and had extremely high training and were more comparable to RC field format clones.

Honestly I think Captain Rex is my personal favorite, because he can think for himself and also he is one of the few clones that actually hesitated to shoot their Jedi. And doing so he gave his commander the time she needed to put up a proper defense and escape.

Slight adjustment, arc troopers were as said in the show at first specially grown and trained and weren't selected from veterans until later in the war.. wich is where clones like jesse came in..
