Continuously changing genres can also be a weakness, though. Sure, it means she’s very versatile and it takes a lot of talent to make music in this many genres, but, at the same time, it’s not consistent and it’s hard to keep a fan base, like this.

It’s hard to keep a fandom if you switch your style so often bcs it means that someone’s who liked one of your sounds will probably never see that sound again.

It’s just that after a certain point, you could either experiment a little and make something new that still fits your sound, or continue making the same music, which fans would dislike you, for.

I mean, to be fair when the beginning of your career was based on replicating someone else to the point you paid an out of court settlement + agreed to adapt your stage persona and appearance due to copyright? ( A last minute one at that, which she gaslit and manipulated fans to the build up of denying. ) You kind of have a history of being unoriginal. But even without that, artists get compared all the time.

You pay and can continue to use said likeness. If they didn't give Mars what she wanted or found agreeable it would've continued to court and we'd have a public verdict. That's common sense given SHE is the one who filed and wanted to take it to court. Given she took the protective order to court as well and it was accepted, we know she wasn't just going to drop it otherwise. and here is where you're ignorant . . . Poppy is allowed to pull out the character, but the character has to be adapted in a way that differs enough from Mars Argo's persona. However different that must be via the agreement I don't know. Regardless this is hard to do / hold command over though with performance art. But it is something that Mars could sue for again if she wanted and given an out of court settlement has already been taken and or agreed to for this character between the two it won't look as good for Poppy. But as I mentioned this is hard to control / hold command over because Poppy can do whatever she wants in live shows and what not. Just like how you can perform a COVER of a song live and not owe the original writers and need to pay fees like you would to record a studio cover. But she has to adapt for anything promoting herself as an artist or entertainer. Nothing can be too similar.
