Islamic universities charge money, Islamic bookstores charge for books, charities pay workers to run and masjid pay their staff. This is all halal. Allah knows best.

Asalamualaykum warahmatullahi wabarakatuhu, $60/year or $5.99/ month is expensive? These brothers have done a great job visualizing, producing and editing this content on youtube. Also, to create an app and produce halal content is not a one person job. ( I am an audio/video engineer). The brothers have done a great job mashAllah Alhamdulilah. Be happy for them that they are in the line of work that is in the way to Allah. The yearly cost is that of a family takeout meal and the monthly is a single person’s lunch money. This hounding of Muslims to do work for completely free or to not make an income from their labour needs to stop auoodobillah minashaitan nirajeem
