as a tall skater, this is a god send. i need that big wheelbase lol

I bought one for both my friend and I. We’ve been customizing our wheelbases on various boards for the past two months. If you’re on the fence about this jig, just pull the trigger and get yourself one!

Very interesting prospective on tricks and trucks location. Thank you for sharing this experiment! Ive started to change my wheelbases as a beginner to help with beginner tricks, first ive made my tail longer - this makes ollies easier cause of more leverage, but lower in the air at the same time. Recently, after i had a bad slam on a drop in, ive made my wheelbase longer (shorter nose) to get more stability and overcome fear. Small tip - if you are doing permanent adjustment, you could fill old holes with epoxy.

Ordered one myself but it's blocked in the French customs... Hope it's gonna come soon cause I got a Tom Knox "Dischord" I wanna change the wheelbase on...

this is basiclly a jig. you can take a square or ruler and make a line through your hole centers length wise. then take your truck and move it in or out to where you want it,then make a line the other way.mark your cross hair with a center punch or nail or something(this is important to make sure your drill doesnt walk out of hole area) the jig is nice and i didnt price one but im sure its around 30. make sure your lay out is right before you drill anything.always center punch any percise holes.say it, always center punch your holes!(unless you have a jig)

I just use my 6 hole 169’s to make new holes that are pretty spot on because obviously, they line up. Just a suggestion. Rotation needed depending on smaller larger and then again for the opposite side Cinch down the truck and be sure to use a true and straight hand to avoid that annoying “fiddle till it’s straight” thing.

Sometimes people underestimate how important can be the wheel base measures for your skateboarding. Now I base my boards not only on de inches but also on the wheel base. 50% and 50% I will say. Very interesting tool, Only make me feel afraid to crack my board ? Best regards from Vienna, Austria 🇦🇹!
@ChemsFB2 жыл бұрын
No need to worry about cracking a board because of one extra set of holes. I have been modding boards on the tail side to make my tail 3/8” longer. Flip tricks down stairs etc and still haven’t broken a board yet. I usually skate a deck for 2-3 months and no problems. The modification does not cause any noticeable strength issues

Wheelbase is often the most noticeable thing and it’s carver that made that clear. I am not tall or heavy but I surf and a longer wheelbase is ideal. 14.75-15. I like smaller on slash boards oddly

Hah. I thought you’d fit those on the deck and then fit the trucks to them. But basically just a measuring/drill hole tool. I can see uses but does too much for me to redrill holes.

That's next level board madness. I'm going online for weird old inverted kingpins, weird old baseplates or fixing modern ones. That tool would be too much at the moment, but never say never. P.S. To any in America, buy a few Krux downlows kingpins pink label, use some and stash the rest. That is a jewel soon to be missed.

Do you know if the Krux inverted kingpins fit into Ace AF1 baseplates? Wish Ash had inverted kingpins for better slappy clearance

@@Koletrain You may need to fix the nut and maybe shave the top bushing down. I am going to use epoxy, some JCwelds them. There are plenty of tutorials available. P.S.Hope third is a charm, previous messages were deleted.

Hey Zack i wanna skate a creature egg shape in transition but its 14" wb. Ive always rode 15. Occasionally even 16" but im only 5'6. Can you skate a 14 wb in transition? Lastly would this tool be ideal if i wanted to push it up to a 15? Id probably go up towards the nose as i rather have less nose than tail.
@skwibblez923911 ай бұрын
A little late but just from my experience, yes you can skate a 14" WB on transition, but it can get kinda squirrelly. I'm the same height as you and have been skating thunders with risers to push the WB out a little more. It's stable enough imo. To your next question, an inch is a lot. Idk if id recommend taking that solely from your nose.
