Just to let you know, Nevershatter IS in Skyrim, it's a little tucked away in a Misc mission, but it's added with the Amber and Madness ore stuff. It's looks pretty much like the took the model from Oblivion and put it into Skyrim

The Amber hammer and the Akatosh's talon have got to be my favorite warhammers in Skyrim, they have practical and realistic designs that I think look very nice compared to the slabs of metal on a stick that Bethesda normally gives us.

you mentioned Nerveshatter on the amber warhammer, but it also was brought into skyrim via the same CC content. It's in a single room cave, and you need to find amber and madness ore to make it pop up, and it looks pretty darn close to it's Oblivion rendition

I'm a huge fan of Stendar's Hammer. Thing is the biggest hammer in the game (Maybe Nerveshatter comes close) and visually it's top 3 for me. Yes, fully aware in terms of enchantment (and weight, good god lol) is absolutely awful but I like my G I A N T hammers in my RPG's haha

I actually disagree with the orc rating, fantasy warhammers are usually ALOT larger than they need to be making them awkward to use. The orc one would absolutely be heavy enough to be effective and the head would be devastating on both sides The ancient nord Warhammer and the champions cudgel are good examples of oversized hammers. Dont get me wrong theyd crush anything like a melon but could you carry that around all day then still be good in battle?

In terms of raw aesthetic appeal, the Madness Warhammer definitely drives me wild. I love its symmetrical comically large head built to cave everything in, be it skulls, chest plates, or sense of reason. I was surprised the Ebony Warhammer was ranked so low on the list when, among the weapon type, it's one of the few I like (Ebony Mace my beloved). The dagger, sword, and greatsword I thought were hideous and poorly designed, and the Battleaxe is so comically large it always blows my mind just how massive it is. By comparison, the Ebony Warhammer hits a sweet spot for me of looking simple, effective, and generally not like garbage. I love the Dark Warhammer's snake design and I was so glad you agreed, because whereas I find elven gear to be generally too much form over function, the brutal beauty of the snake head hammer and its lovely orb-in-mouth design to just be *chef's kiss*. Hard agree on Volendrung. Peak.

@quiroga9774 if you fancy the less paddle-like swords but without changing the original design, Leanwolf's better-shaped weapons should be your go to, but I have found that mod only covers the swords and doesn't really effect the other weapons, hence believable weapons and better shaped bows of the heavens are my go to.

@quiroga9774 I'm one for a bit more believability, it's why it kind of takes me out of it when I see monster hunter carrying weapons bigger than they are. Going back to vanilla Skyrim, the swords really just look like paddles. Slimming them down just makes them a little more immersive for me.

Love your videos, man. I agree that the aesthetics of Skyrim gear are infinitely more important than the stats, but we have very different taste and I strongly disagree with a LOT of your rankings. Absolutely delightful listening to someone so clearly lay out a line of reasoning that I'm totally on board with, and then come to a totally different conclusion. Gives me a new appreciation for the design of a lot of gear that I've never been arsed to consider before. I've been in a bit of a Skyrim kick lately and I'm looking at the game through new eyes. It's been a lot of fun noticing new details on gear I've seen a thousand times over, and it's making everything feel fresh again (even though you're objectively wrong for liking glass weapons so much. That goddamn mace looks like it would explode if you breathed on it wrong). Good shit, pal! Keep it up. Always makes me smile when I see you've put out something new :)

Started an orc warhammer character for the sole reason of being Grug and bonking people with the dragon femur. Started the quest for volundrung early in the game, oblivious to the reward at the end. Very pleasantly surprised, then did saints and seducers having forgotten that Nerveshatter was one of the weapons you get in it, even more pleasantly surprised

The Stahlrim Warhammer reminds me of the Oblivion glass Warhammer but blue instead of green. Also I noticed the Dark Warhammer is a scythe with a snake wrapped around it holding the ball you mentioned. The spike at the back is the scythe blade.

I don't remember the name of it but if you're going to use a Warhammer the best one to use is an orchish one that has a special ability on it where it's able to be swung really fast it's a unique weapon in its hidden those that found it will know what I'm talking about.

I've watched many of your lists, and usually I mostly agree with them. But on this list, we are almost the exact opposite. I think I only agree with you on the Dragonbone Warhammer. Wielding a huge femur for a weapon is the perfect amount of goofy, but maybe still kind of practical and I love it. The Dwarven warhammer being in last place in actually criminal though, and you should get yourself checked into an asylum as soon as possible, lol.

Yeah... We differ in our opinions of warhammer designs. I'm picking up that you like the massive weapon heads for warhammers. I think that makes them look like clown props instead of useable weapons. Most of these would rank close to the bottom for me. My top out of the giant head hammers would also be Volendrung though, so at least we agree on that 🙂
