These Rookie QBs need time, at least two years to develope and that's if the coaches put him in the right environment to succeed. Got to have a very good OL and surround him with great WRs, TEs and RBs. Have a good veteran backup QB behind him he can learn from. Design plays that play to his strengths. Essential build a team around him. The fans need to to be behind as well and give him time.

I personally think CJ will struggle a lot. For one he is in Houston, for two I don’t think he is built for the NFL. He played in a spread offense at a program 10x better than 95%+ of other programs with NFL receivers. I think pressure even in college got him too rattled at times. I could be wrong though.

I saw 1 video of his practice highlights last week and i immediately noticed he will have trouble in live action. He holds the ball way too long, in practice he was going through his progressions 2 times before throwing the ball. The game is just too fast for Stroud right now. Start Keenum if Houston wants to look somewhat respectable, because that defense can fly around. If not they will have the 1st pick in the draft next year
