Not every mod we get today is “peak” Besides that word is so overused in this community 😒 This mod isn’t awful and I’m being as fair as I can. The art style is very good, some of the songs are great and hold up very well to this day, like Endless, Triple Trouble, and a few of the other good ones, and honestly it’s still the current best Sonic EXE mod I’ve seen (except MAYBE Sonic Legacy but since it’s just a demo it’s still in the works) And just because it’s an older mod doesn’t excuse some of the worse songs like Milk and Too Fest when you have good songs like Endless.

Tbf, Mario’s Madness also had a couple of characters that amounted to OCs, namely John Dick, Turmoil (even if he was drawn up about a year prior to the V2’s proper release, so I guess this is a YMMV case), GB (who had a story retroactively written for him (which some characters who got scrapped for Vs. Sonic.exe also got similar treatment, namely Hog and Scorched, some of the characters I took a liking to)), and Omega, LG, W4R, and Y0SH, as while the last 3 only appear in All-Stars, Omega did predate them. What I want to say is that just because a character basically amounts to an original creepy character for a creepypasta based mod doesn’t inherently make the character or mod bad, it’s how the concept is executed. It’s why characters like GB work and Satanos don’t (along with a couple other reasons). Even then, among the characters I actually would bring back in any sort of way if I could magically resurrect this mod, of all the scrapped characters (read: never made it into a single build, so EXE and the 3.0 gang are exempt from this), they’d only amount to 10 or less. Because I’ll say it multiple times, this mod project basically was a boat that got several holes, as time went on before it inevitably sank.

Why do you dislike this mod so much? I get the hate for the pasta but every song bar Milk & Too Fest V1s are amazing. I love every one of them. I see your points though in each song and I’m glad someone else prefers V2 Majin’s vocals to Encore’s. And I’m also really glad someone else prefers Execution over Cycles. They left out my favorite part in Cycles plus Lord X’s design I find to be not as good. Though it’s still good.

Hadn't looked into this mod in a while, but I do wanna give my thoughts on the songs Too Slow: Seems kinda messy for my taste and suffers from first-song-sydrome You Can't Run: Actually quite a bop, definitely a Top 5 song for me Triple Trouble: Definitely my favorite song, I can see why so many people made covers from it, ny favorite segment is Eggman, 2nd is Tails, then Sonic, then Knuckles Endless: Love the reference, love the instrumental, love the vocals, fun really is infinite, huh? Cycles: Kind of a letdown, but it's alright Milk: I do like the bouncy instrumental and vocals tbh, just not my cup of tea personally Sunshine: The whole artstyle and feel of the song feels right at home for Tails Doll, especially during the blackout part Chaos: Fleetway making an appearance was something I never expected, but his vocals and constant mocking really make his song special Too Fest: This song is just funny tbh, not something I would listen to a lot but it's funny Faker: The tame sounding instrumental and vocals remind me of Promotion's first half, I like it Black Sun: Love EXE's design for this song, and yeah, it indeed has an awesome middle section Overall Ranking: Best: Triple Trouble, Endless, Chaos Great: Black Sun, You Can't Run Good: Faker, Sunshine Decent: Cycles, Too Fest Ehh: Milk, Too Slow

Tbh my favorites are weird, but I’ll just say cycles is so damn underrated. Right now my favorites are faker, then cycles, then triple trouble. I just feel like it’s the popular opinion to dislike cycles for some reason, that beginning sounds upbeat and then cold and bangs you in the head with the vocals. To me it sounds like lord x is meant to be taken more seriously than anything else in the whole mod. Sure the middle isn’t the absolute most catchy but it still sounds very cool. But faker is my favorite in the whole mod because I actually can’t really think anything bad about it, solid melodies and very catchy, good vocals, and a sinister undertone that makes the song even cooler in retrospect after listening to black sun.

Supersonic was a bit different It was the culmination of all sonics chaotic energies. But this collection is sentient, and takes over when sonic triggers super form. It is a major plot point with sonic having to not use super as an ultimate solution. And having to weigh it with the amount of destruction it would cause and even potentially hurt his friends. Eventually sonic is separated from fleetway. So as of now he is a separate enemy.

If I were to make a sonic.exe fnf mod heres all the songs (btw there's no drowning drowning sinking sinking ) (1) you're to slow: it starts of with sonic.exe disguised as sonic and the songs at a intermediate pace and then sonic.exe starts looking at you the player, and he undisguises and the songs pace speeds up then sonic.exe goes back to looking at bf and the song continues Cutscene 1: simply sonic.exe gets mad at bf (2) you cant run: bf and sonic.exe are rapping at the same pace as the second half of you're to slow Cutscene 2: sonic.exe starts levitating above the ground (3) I AM GOD: sonic.exe is done with bf no more games he wants to kill him but he lets bf have one more rap battle this song has a slightly faster pace than you can't run half way through the song xenophanes bursts out of sonics skin he used to disguise himself showing his true(er) form Cutscene 3: xenophanes is just about to kill bf and gf when a portal opens up and two hands grab bf and gf saving them and the portal closes it turned out Majin sonic saved them and challenges bf to a rap battle because he's bored (4) endless fun: Majin sonic's song is jassy and fun Cutscene 4: Majin sonic show bf the sound test menu on a crt tv it but it only only has two selectable codes because of a certain unfunny purple hedgehog (cold steel). Heres my ranking since this mod was the first FNF mod I ever saw. Bad Songs (In my opinion) Too Fest: I never found Sanic funny but I do understand why he was put in the mod but it doesn't explain the song sounding poorly put together. Execution: I just don't like the presentation of the song it just feels haphazardly put together and so is Lord X's voice considering its just Tricky's voice but edited, however the diga bye bye part is great and I can see why they repurposed it for Cycles. I don't have any songs I find "Mid" because I like almost every song in 2.0 (Except the two I considered bad). Good Songs (In my opinion) Faker: The Song to me feels a bit tame but it does work well as a transition into Black Sun (especially the ending.) Sunshine: I like the intensity of the Instrumental even if to me at least it doesn't really fit Tails Doll since personally I never found it creepy although I understand why people could be creeped out by it. Cycles: I like how menacing yet playful the instrumental is as it kinda fits Lord X also the diga bye bye part works in Cycles just as much as execution although I do agree with you that the middle is kinda dull but I still like the song regardless (even if other Lord X songs like Joyous and Mutilation to me at least are better). Too Slow: Its a good way to start the mod however the start feels weird since Xeno already is revealed unlike the encore version (which I like better) although everything after is really good I especially like how it feels like the song is going faster and faster with each turn. Milk V1: Even if V2 is objectively better I still like V1 due to how Goofy the song is which fits Sunky very nicely although Sunky's chromatic sounds kinda eargrating. Chaos: I like how Fleetway actively does remarks at you during the song which fits his character and also BF going super was honestly pretty funny (Mainly because of Fleetways reaction) the song itself is pretty memorable. Endless: I can honestly see why you ranked it in first place as it sounds incredibly funky and enjoyable I honestly like how the arrows move with the Spindash sound effects as it gives the song more life. Black Sun: The main reason I rank it higher then Faker is because the instrumental, I just love how "Industrial" it sounds as it makes it sound more dreadful and also the ending is quite a bop. Triple Trouble: Its a awesome way to end the main week because I like almost every section of it even if Knuckles' chromatic is really quiet (but I got over it really quickly) I especially love Xeno's second and third sections. You Can't Run: As a person who is quite into rock music hearing this song after Too Slow gave me extreme whiplash but my god it felt great hearing this song for the first time and I still find it great now however my only gripe is that the 16-Bit section messes with the pacing a little bit which makes me like the older version that had that section just be normal however I still find it cool they did it anyway regardless.

Man, this mod could’ve been one of the single best, and then it imploded on itself. At least it can function as a learning experience for future FNF modders of how not to handle a mod. Personally, there’s a part of me that wants what 3.0 could have truly been, with about 11 or so in particular of the additional scrapped opponents, but realistically, idk how likely that is to ever happen. Regardless, I enjoyed watching the video. And the OG Sonic.exe if best enjoyed if you’re reading it as a pisstake while taking shots with your friends.

Ok, let me say that for the most part, I can kind of agree with 3.0 being a mess, but calling the songs BLANDED?? (at least the cancelled build songs cause that's what I played) Now that's kind of a disservice Too slow encore: The only remix in the cancel build, and for a remix of too slow, its (Imo) solid, Xeno sounds good, the additions make it feel complete, and the extra part at the ending was a nice touch. Prey: Ok out of all songs in the 3.0 (or at least in the cancelled build), this song is my fav, furnace and sonic sound good, the instrumental with the references to stardust speedway, the dialogue from sonic and starved sound pretty damn solid, and the beat drop in the second half just hit everything in the good vibes for me. Though I will say that the 2.0 version of this song is miles better than 1.0. Fight or flight: while it did take some time to grow on me, this song is great, starved get more time to shine, tails sounds good (though not great) and the instrumental is REALLY intense and even fast pace at points. Roundabout: this is probably the most visually clashing song in the mod (outside of 3.0 ofc) but I don't really mind, if it looks good, it looks good, and having the official creator of needlemouse help with the art is cool as hell, Sarah sounds good, boyfriend is... alright I guess, and the instrumental is solid, probably the song that's worn off on me the most, but its still good. Milk (2.0) and Too fest (2.0): I'm grouping these 2 together cause their both remakes, BUT DANG DID THEY GET A GLOWUP!! Sunky has a much more laid back and chill vibe and tones down the memes a lot, while still keeping them in their for extra moments in the instrumental, meanwhile sanic's song takes the green hill zone theme he had in 2.0 and not only stylizes it, not only memeifies it, but makes it sound good, the memes are a bit distracting, and the scroll speed is still a bit to fast, but these 2 songs show you can make something bad and make up for the mistake it originally was. Fatality (It's in certain cancelled builds ok let me have this one) Saster comes in clutch with the one song that's probably has the most unique gimmicks in the mod, closing error messages with you're cursor and moving the window fit with fatal error a lot and thanks to the 4 by 3 window screen, it works really well. And the song? Pretty good, fatal makes a text to speech bot work as chromatic (Imo), boyfriend sounds good,the art looks good, the instrumental is good, the charting is great, and the SPRITES, HOLY GOD THE SPRITES, I can't understand how you can this is bland. (KEEP IN MIND THAT THESE ARE MY OPINIONS, YOURS MAY BE DIFFERENT, IM JUST TRYING TO PROVE MY POINT)

Fleetway doesn’t have any relation to Sonic.EXE, he’s just a different version of Sonic who’s crazy and bloodthirsty. Basically, Fleetway’s just takes control of Sonic when he’s stressed for some reason, with him not being in control of himself. Yeah, I do agree it’s confusing why he’s even doing in the mod in the first place cuz like I said he doesn’t have any connection with EXE. He’s just kinda there, I guess.

(Sorry for the wall of text lol I meant to simply ask a question but then kinda started rambling) Kinda curious, why do you feel that the art in V3 is inconsistent? Not that you’re wrong for feeling that way, but I feel like V3’s art is more consistent and honestly just better than V2’s. Especially the icons, they’re kinda shit in V2 compared to V3. Same with the UI as a whole, but that’s unrelated to the mod, that’s moreso to do with Kade Engine looking (And feeling) kinda rough at the time, compared to Psych Engine’s smoothness. Granted, I’ve only played what was in the canceled build (Alongside some of the fanmade restored build, but for that I only played Substantial, Fatality, Malediction, Hedge, Manual Blast and Endless Encore) And like… I also think V3’s music is better (At least that of what I played anyway) but I’m moreso curious about the art thing I guess I might as well give some suggestions for mod song rankings: First off, I know it’s a BIG one, but when I was watching your Mario’s Madness video I was like “I hope this guy makes a Vs Imposter ranking since there’s so many songs in it” Indie Cross and Ourple Guy were already suggested by other comments, and I assume you’re also doing Hypno’s Lullaby at some point, so… D-Sides and Doki Doki Takeover Plus would be cool. (Oh and Super Mario Bros: Funk Mix and Seek’s Cool Deltarune mod too. I’d also suggest Hotline 024, but you might wanna wait for the full thing to come out for that one… Now that I think about it, Indie Cross and Seek’s Cool Deltarune Mod are also soon to be finished, so maybe wait for those too? Idk)

The music in V3 is for the most part made of remixes, unfinished songs, and a lot of generic stuff. Also there are many mods I plan to rank in future. You’ll just have to wait and see.

For the cast of the 3.0 is so disappoint, literally 50% of characters is original for the owners and random concepts characters, literally that is no excuse to say sonic horror media is "low", while the RERUN and LEGACY mods just throw in the faces, the mod is just a like a "insert" of the devs on the game.

I have some ideas how 3.0 could be improved, so it would be like Mario’s Madness V2, but a bit weaker: -Remix, revamp or redo the bottom 5 so that they would become great songs instead of terrible to eh. -Add Prey, Fight or Flight, Fatality and Final Escape (preferably Kirb0 remix, but official one is also good) to 2.0. -Add a song for Sonic.EYX and Somari (If MMV2 can have a Somari song, this mod can too) Voila: a good version of Sonic.EXE 3.0!

Vs Sonic Exe really hasn't aged well after all this time, but now it feels very stale. SMB Funk Mix came out not too long after Vs Sonic Exe and is still better. Well, on the bright side, with the invention of Triple Trouble it eventually gave us All Stars and Unbeatable.

No. I don't imply Mario's Madness is better than Sonic EXE. It IS better. At least it's better than every Current Sonic EXE Mod. And as for Sonic Legacy, MAYBE it'll be better when the full mod comes out. But given how Sonic EXE 3.0, it's also possible it'll go horribly wrong. I have hope for the mod, but it's going to take a TON to beat Mario's Madness.

Not at all. I compare the songs with the other songs in their own mod. And visuals of the song mean so much less to me compared to the actual song itself. I mostly judge the songs of the question: “Would I listen to this song in the background?” Because this is a big shocker but FNF IS A MUSIC GAME MUSIC MATTERS MORE THAN ANYTHING ELSE.

I respect your opinion but personally, I love this mod. And I do like the cancelled build of 3.0 but the actual version of 3.0, I completely agree, that mod is awful besides a few good songs and the songs that already existed. If I had to give my own tiers for the songs then here’s how it would be. Bad: Too fest. Need I say more? Meh: Sunshine, such a lame song for me and even the can you feel the sunshine part was okay to me. Cycles, execution was way better. Black sun, such an unbelievably boring song. Good: Faker, good song but not great. Great: Too slow, unpopular opinion but I really like this song, the beginning is admittedly a bit boring but the second half is so unbelievably good. Milk, Yes I know it was last but for me, it’s catchy as all hell. Amazing: Chaos, catchy, fun and a perfect song for fleetway sonic and the voice lines are phenomenal. You can’t run, oh my god is the vocals so fantastic and every time I listen to this, I just bop my head. Endless, such a head bopper and the most catchy in the mod. Perfect: Triple trouble, this is my favorite from the mod, every part is fantastic and it doesn’t waste the 8 minutes, it’s one of my favorite Fnf songs. I do love this mod despite its flaws but I respect your opinion but no one will ever convince me to listen to 3.0. That mod is garbage and I completely see why it was cancelled and also the devs are horrible but I separate content and creator.

Ok here is what’s kind of disappointing about this mod it started of great and inspired many similar mods like Mario’s Madness, Hypno’s Lullaby, and Mistful Crimson Morning but the dev team was TERRIBLE 3.0 was god awful and always will be but I do have to give this mod credit for its great parts but still the 5 year old Sonic.exe fans are still annoying lmao also will you rank Hypno’s Lullaby next?

i personally think sonic.exe fnf is the worst horror fnf mod. dont roast this comment but i just dont like sonic.exe mods. And even if its old Ive seen mods made 2 years ago that at best match the quality of mistful crimson morning v2 which is a very good mod. if you compare sonic.exe to hypnos lullaby v2, or Mario's madness v2 or even cartoon cat v2 you will notice the VERY BIG quality difference. I know someones gonna say that it was unfinished but even the finished build s like v2 or v1 and even the restored version of v3 have terrible quality when you compare it to other mods. with only one exception being fatal errors song and maybe the RESTORED version of sunky but I'm not sure. And also the instrumentals and vocals and songs themselves. I know maybe fatal error, sunshine and endless may be bangers but a lot of the other ones in my opinion have terrible vocals instrumentals and the soundtracks are just bad in my opinion. And also I don't like triple trouble because its way too long, I don't like how it sounds and the vocals are pretty mid to me.
