Smash is too big to end. I think the most likely outcome from here is that the next game shrinks the roster and revamps the characters that are retained from Ultimate, and I'd personally like to see Nintendo expand the Smash brand to be a general label for crossovers. Smash Bros. as a fighting game, Smash Kart (given the crossovers in Mario Kart 8's DLC), maybe a Smash tactics game (Monolith Soft has developed Namco x Capcom and the Project X Zone games), that sort of thing

If people count two Mii Gunner costumes as Sans and Cuphead being in Smash, you can count the Waluigi Assist Trophy as him being in Smash, and it's really the only non-Spirit way he can actually be in battle without undermining both Smash and Waluigi. Let him stick to go-karts, RNG, and tennis. Let Smash stick to letting Bad Mario be the uncreatively named Mario villain that's a full-fledged fighter.

That’s my headcanon. They were good friends outside of the games, unfortunately lost touch when Microsoft bought Rare and Banjo’s last game failed, and then getting to see their old friend back and better than ever.. …they were happy to have them back, even if it’s in Smash.

Thank you. At least somebody here gets it. The only reason he wasn’t included in the main roster, (unlike Daisy because she actually did appear in a mainline game), he had no mainline games of his own. Only spinoffs that consisted of sports games, appearing in Mario Party, and Mario Kart. That’s it.

Smash Bros Ultimate sure does have the most hype of many Nintendo games to date! 😁 And btw, I think that it’s unfortunately fair to assume that random yet interesting characters like Ratchet and Clank, Kratos, Master Chief or hell, even Fishstick, Cuddle Team Leader or Agent Jones from Fortnite would have a way better chance to enter Smash Bros, than Waluigi EVER could as a playable character! 🙁

Hey Nathaniel! Thanks for your great videos. It was fun to see these all pieced together. I've got a video idea for you to use since I know you do comedy: since people are complaining about the new online service being 50 bucks perhaps you could make a video on where people COULD put 50 bucks into paying for games instead. It might help people look back on games they may have missed playing before or on high-reviewed games that are totally worth paying for. I get the feeling you could have fun making it. The Pyra/Mythra reveal was the most exciting I have been for anything ever. This includes full games, movies, good grades etc. I love Xenoblade 2 and people told me that it wouldn't happen, but ai held out hope and I was so happy.Thank you so much, not just Sakurai, but all of the developers that made this game. Honestly, Nintendo directs won't be the same without these reveals.
