Ross Robibson did horrible stuff to the people he had in his studio. Yes he was horribly to Rovert but the things he did to Jonathan Davis of KoRn were really fucked up

Loved this video man, you obviously know your Cure, new sub. I would have loved to see you tackle on Japanese Whispers, especially since I always include it in my rankings but I understand it’s a compilation so it often gets tossed to the side when in reality it could have been Cure’s 5th album, especially with so much single power, to think of the possibilities

Ah I really went back and forth on including Japanese Whispers, I didn’t think it would be fair to treat it like an album when it’s meant to be a collection of ideas though having heard it a fair few times I’d definitely have it something in the top 2/3’s of the list no question about it.

Been meaning to binge their stuff so I'll take this as a sign! Glad to see someone else backing Seventeen Seconds, always seems to get pushed to the side in favour of HOTD, Disintegreation and Pornography but it's every bit as good

P.S. - judging by your age, you aunt and I are probably the same age (45-55?). Tell her she had great taste in music and I’m sure we’d be great friends if we met. My godsons know The Cure through me, like I got to know the Cure (and Buzzcocks) through my older cousin...

Undeniable for me that Disintegration is the best and 4:13 Dream the worst, the rest interchangeable depending on mood and all brilliant in their own way (apart from 4:13 Dream!). The 13th was my introduction to The Cure back in April 1996. A strange one to get into the band through admittedly, but still a huge fan 25 years + later. Decent vid.

Top 5 1. Kiss Me Kiss Me Kiss Me 2. Head on the Door 3. Wish 4. The Top 5. Disintegration 6. Pornography The Cure is one of the bands for which I have the biggest disagreement with the consensus for which is their best album. While I think Disintegration is very good, in my opinion it lacks the variety and or moments of intensity in Kiss Me Kiss Me Kiss Me, Head on the Door or even Wish, though Lovesong and Pictures of You in particular are two of their best songs in my opinion. The good thing about this is that it has made me frequently go back to listen to their albums but every time my opinion is confirmed and Kiss Me Kiss Me Kiss Me and slowly this album has risen to narrowly edge out the others. I also think Kiss Me Kiss Me Kiss me has their best song Just Like Heaven, I love the percussion and wa wa guitar on the opening track and Fight is my favorite aggresive desperation in your face song.

Nice ranking. Felt like you were a little harsh on their self titled album but i agree the song Never is so lazy and uninspired. I just feel like self titled is underrated and stands out more compared to The Top. I love the songs Anniversary and Going Nowhere and can appreciate the rawness of Lost, Us or Them, and The Promise. The songs Before Three and The End Of The World are pretty good also. The only real low points for me on the album is the song Never and some areas of weak lyrics. Great vid tho.

liamthemusicreviewer thanks, I grew up listening to the top. I always favored of kiss me kiss me because of its psychedelic atmosphere. And Shake Dog Shake of Shake is a top tier Cure song. And so is BannaFishBones. I bet by spicy takes your talking about 17 Seconds.... Yea I like A Forest and Play For Today, but to me, the rest falls flat.

I grew up with the Faith Album. The Top was their worst imho. Everything is a matter of taste.
