I did keto over 3 years ago and dropped 50lbs in about 8 months…now I do lazy keto…still very low carb but not quite as high in fat. It has become a lifestyle for me and I’ve come to terms with the fact that my body just doesn’t do well with the typical North American diet. My body does not handle carbs well so I basically omit most starchy carbs (potatoes, rice, pasta, bread and most fruits). I feel better, look better and have less digestive issues without the carbs

@@brigidkeogh416 the natural sugar content was too high for what my body could handle so I only consumed berries (blueberries, raspberries, strawberries) in small amounts. I really enjoy fruit so when I want a treat I will opt for fruit but in smaller quantities.

Hillary, you have such a great variety of foods in your day. The Brazil nut tip was really great I’m going to have to try that!
@Iheart2cook2 жыл бұрын
What an excellent example you are to your children, not to mention all of us!! Variety is what struck me the most watching this. I also love that you included the cake and the restaurant meals. Moderation is key. I’ve been eating 2 Brazil nuts per day for many years. That’s all you need to get your full dose in per day. Much more cost effective (and delicious ) than a supplement. God bless 🙏🏼❤️

Great ideas! For mayo replacement i use this recipe and is delicious: one boiled egg (not hard, a little creamy), 75 grams of Greek yogurt, one teaspoon of mustard, one teaspoon of olive oil, salt to taste. All of these ingredients are mashed with a vertical blender. It is of course not mayo but the boiled egg gives it a, close enough for me, mayo texture.

All your recipes look fabulous! With inflation causing food prices to skyrocket, I've had to give up a few beloved foods you use in your meals, like AVOCADO. I love avocado so much but haven't had any in over a month now but I may have to sneak in a few when I go grocery shopping again. I love your sensible approach to healthy eating. Can't tell you how many times I've given up trying to eat a certain way when I approached it in a really rigid manner. An occasional treat shouldn't totally derail your efforts to eat better. Thanks for the inspiration!
