As someone who's read the documentation on a couple game engines before (I wanna do gamedev myself), the full-screen thing is likely a case of how the game-state transitions are handled Example, GameMaker likes to reset the window size when switching between rooms (which are basically the engine's levels), which can kinda fuck with streaming and recording depending on the implementation
