if you think a little, goku is basicly a mass of multiplication of power, he has his base power multiplied naturally by god ki to the extent that his base power became the power multiplication of ssjg first appearance, then after this, is a multiplication again of ssjg on top of a ssj1 + 20 times kaioken and then a huge booss in evasion, defense, counter attack and efficiency in battle, adding a power boost not as high as base to ssjb at first, then trough the developing of it, he adapts and gets a lot stronger, finally he receives power boosts trough mastery of mui that boosts his power but not as much as a ssj form, that is a lot of multiplication i should say, saitama would need A LOT of time to catch up, because saitama may be in the level of goku base after first ssjg, someone that i think may be able to reach faster depending of the circunstances is asura, the power boost he receives everytime he gets angrier and angrier is comparable to ssj forms, if the last boss was stronger, asura could become even stronger than what he ended being at the end, the thing here is, while saitama is exponential increase asura creates gaps in his power scale due to instant boost of power that behave like zenkai or new ssj form.

Consider this real quick. The Serious Punch^2 was before Saitama continued to exponentially grow, meaning that punch wiped out millions of galaxies and stars… whilst also nowhere near his full potential. Saitama is growing limitlessly and by the looks of it, I’m not even sure where to place him. Already know he’s faster than the speed of light but we don’t know just how fast he can be. Already know he’s capable of destroying planets and galaxies with ease, but we don’t know just how much stronger he could be. Already know he can bend and manipulate literal space, survive a black hole, and destroy the laws of physics in its entirety.
