I always thought boros was basically the representation of dbz in the show since the auther makes alot of references to other anime. He looks like goku and has transformations similar to super saiyan and his super attack is like the kamehameha and he also has cell’s or piccolo’s regeneration. And hes constantly looking for worlds to conquer and wants to fight strong opponents just like saiyans.

Just like the anime anxiety guy said, it was likely just a dramatic effect or cliffhanger attempt cuz he was perfectly fine without a scratch in the next panel of the next chp while Garou was bleeding. Also Garou also constantly shedding off "black sparks" or whatever is that even from his Fist when he punch his opponent. Check his short fight with Blast.

@@animeinminutez well i dont wanna agree that it didnt do anything . saitama's boost in strength during the fight is revealed to have effect by being surpassed which then allows him to realize theres space to grow which then outclasses whoever is out-powering him . had garou's copied punch done little to no damage, it likely wouldve stunted saitamas growth far drastically than shown . now granted , it could also be saitama not defeating him in the time-span that he normally does with other creatures and monsters that allowed him to recognize how much more power he needs , but having been dealt damage to himself is a way more understandable perspective to come from if we imagine how he felt in that position . i think to add dramatic effect to a character like saitama , who is shown to have otherworldly/godly endurance (being resistant to practically everything hes ever come across) would be, respectfully , very illogical given . and with the opponent hes facing now , who is shown to be the only monster to ever deal damage (with points mentioned into consideration) to saitama , being known as absolute evil and the strongest villain to come across the OPM series , would only make sense for something to finally deal damage to him with the idea that this is the first time hes being outclassed, meaning he had no understanding of power beyond boros which dealt nothing to him & finally led to a guard-break

@@windygrass9807 well yes hypothetically , however , he did mention in the video that evil natural water also had no knowledge on its own destructive capabilities before it was ended off , (11:30) and with the idea in mind that it was capable of merging with the ocean , it appeared to have no limitations to its growth & with unlimited growth being merged with the ocean , it would have its natural attacks such as the jetstream act FAR more powerful (he also mentioned that in the video) . now its pretty obvious as to why the entirety of the ocean being turned against humanity could be a god level threat, so im not gonna get into it , but it was also capable of adapting to the environment as it did with being frozen , then consuming sludge to control the temperature to stay active
