Great video!! My only critique is I would’ve loved to see clips of each episode while you were speaking. Nonetheless I enjoyed this video. Looking back, Owen was annoying but not the most annoying. He was in the way but never really a big issue to a lot of the contestants. I think this is why he was able to make it so far because he was well liked by everyone and never really started drama. Beth, Tyler, Katie, Sadie, Ezekiel, Justin, Eva & Noah were all throwaway characters during this season.

I like Chris the most when he wants them to be greatly hurt. I love the interns deaths and Chris's attitude towards it. I think he gets better and better. I do love Masters of Disasters when he's worried about losing the whole cast at once. But I also love him sending the 2nd gen cast into the radioactive mines with bombs. I think Chef's also at best being colder towards the contestants than Chris, even if he derives less joy than him out of their pain. I think reboot Chef is so bad it singlehandedly lessens those seasons.

Your review makes me really want to go back to the original Island. After seeing just how unhinged this series can get with RoTI, All-Stars, Pahkitew and the reboot, it’d be nice to have a breath of fresh air with a more down to earth season. It’s also really nice to hear people balancing out the good and bad with this season instead of just blindly propping it up on a pedestal (the same goes for World Tour, which you sorta mentioned in the Reboot S2 video) and refusing to elaborate. Also, fun fact: Eva never gets a marshmallow in Not-So-Happy Campers part 2.

You already know my thoughts on the video because we talked right after it. But I actually want to say my thoughts on this video because I want to and for the algorithm boost... In my opinion, this is your best video that you've ever done. In some respects, this is your magnum opus. This is your Ozymandias. The amount of effort that you put into this video is absolutely insane. You really worked hard and the video turned out great! Now, you know how much of a fan I am of Owen, but I agree with you with the fact that he wasn't the greatest in the beginning. Besides the first two episodes and DodgeBrawl, he really was one of the weakest links on his team. I think the reason that he didn't get eliminated throughout all that time in the pre-merge was because nobody perceived him as a threat early on. But it's also the fact that he got along with mostly everybody. But pre-merge Owen isn't that great to watch to be honest. I never got the Heather plot armor argument that's been around for so long within the community. I mean yes, she has some moments where she should have been eliminated. But she didn't. Now the Talent Show episode can easily be explained, but the Trent elimination episode is the one where everybody says that she has plot armor. Do people not realize that some can have straight up luck? In hindsight, I do think that Heather should have laid low after the whole Talent Show incident but that's just me. As for my favorite episode...it's a toss-up between Basic Straining and DodgeBrawl. I've already told you that I think that Courtney's elimination is my favorite elimination in the show and I still hold that belief today. Everything from the plot to the execution was perfect in my opinion. And Harold got justice dammit! It's like you said, what would hurt worse? Getting rid of your bully or getting rid of your bully's crush? It just works way too well in my opinion. But I do think there should have been a follow-up in the next episode but it's whatever. Overall dude, fantastic video! As I said, best video you've ever done so far in my opinion. I can't wait for when you do Action next year! You should be proud my friend...

About Wawanakwa Gone Wild, I think the show implies Izzy (and by association, Owen?) voted off Gwen? And I think Leshawna and Geoff would be down to vote Izzy off instead of Heather (Leshawna votes out Beth due to the curse). In fact, my interpretation is that only Gwen voted for Heather. And here's the thing, in Trent's elimination, the last two people to receive a Marshmallow are Duncan and Owen, meaning Gwen and Trent probably voted for them, or just Owen. I think Trent and Owen being the bottom two on both Trent's eliminations (even though they are friendly) is probably an inside joke on them having the same VA. But in general, plenty of unexplained bottom twos in those first few seasons.

As a Survivor fan, I hate to "Um Akthually" but Um Actually. To clarify the "Jury" and characters campaigning in the confessional. The way i understand it, Haute Campture wasnt the Jury Vote they were hyping up. In Survivor the winner is decided the way it was in TDA by a vote (usually of only merge players) so the showrunners originally were gonna have it end that way but seemingly last minute decided to do the final challenge format instead. It's possible they scrapped the fashion challenge and did the playa vote instead after deciding not to do a jury finale, but I think the campaigning segments post leshawna are remnants of that plot line

Fixing misinformation: there are actually two versions of Heather's flashing scene uncensored, both of which are actually fanmade. You can clearly see it because the black dotted nipples would've been visible on the pixelated censorship somehow and its squares include colors that would've been missing in this version. Plus, this version is clearly shorter than the actual episode's. And then the version where she has more detailed nipples - while the colors match the pixelated censorship better, her boobs are bouncing at the start, even though this doesn't happen in the episode. Also, it feels like "Every TDI episode and character ranked" would've been a better title. This isn't a ranking of just the seasons with Total Drama Island in their name. No TDI 2023/2024 content here.

Ok, so I was mostly right about this video, so that’s a plus. I can’t believe though that you forgot about Chris x Chef, like, c’mon, brah. I personally have no clue what my favorite episode would be, maybe Dodgebrawl, but it changes a lot. My favorite character of the season is definitely Owen, not only due to nostalgia as a kid who was basically just a thicker than a snicker kid, but he’s just incredibly charming and funny and I find it funny how horny he can be, like with his jiggy fantasies. My favorite ship of the season is probably Courtney x Duncan and I definitely think this is there only good season as a couple, which is unfortunate. Now it’s time for me to jump back into my basement to continuing writing on my TD W-I fan fiction, so.. something, something, “Chef was supposed to do the patreon, but I went to his dorm and heard him and Chris… doing stuff.”

kzbin.info/www/bejne/jnTWg5d9iL2Jj9k I... no??? no offense, the rest of the video is great, but from my POV this feels like you completely missing the actual nuances of aleheather vs duncney. the one thing those ships really have In Common from my point of view is the veneer of enemies-to-lovers. with duncney, it's about these apparent opposites growing closer, learning things from each other and generally being there FOR each other. what makes aleheather work is that those two are so similar that it's honestly fascinating. they get jumpscared in basically the exact same way in I See London (splitting off from people they hate before getting tapped on the shoulder and yelling about it), whilst in the Island and WT horror challenges that duncan and courtney are in, they both make to about the end unscathed, surviving in different ways. to summarize: duncney about contrast and learning to appreciate each other regardless, aleheather about understanding each other innately yet never being able to work Together, probably _because_ of that understanding. (on the topic of the actual video, it's pretty good, and personally i really love the trent slander. it's absolutely hilarious and entirely founded, 10/10)

Eva going after Bridgette wasn't quite out of nowhere/unreasonable. Bridget was the last girl of the Killer Bass left. & a much easier target than say Duncan who showed himself to not be easy to threaten/intimidate thanks to Chef & also had a solid friend group/guys alliance going on. even if Chris showed her the full truth of how she was originally eliminated going after Heather probably wouldn't have been wise either.
