I remember on Knockhill it was possible to make opponents bug and turn over when going into pitstops. Also it was my first track when I was 6 that I ended not being last(6th). And Oulton Park was my first track to drie with steering wheel :D

spent a whole year mastering this game before realising that the soft tyres actually meant you could save a slide so much easier. Knockhill in the fog at the end was horrific!

I remember Croft was my favorite back in the days

Croft is a fun track. A great thing about the TOCA games is having these tracks that get overlooked in the bigger games these days.

Depends on how much you want to spend. I use an upscaler called a Framemeister (no longer available) but others are around like the OSSC or Retrotink. These take analogue inputs like scart, composite, or component (or others!) and convert them to HDMI while also upscaling or deinterlacing. It adds a little bit of latency but is perfectly fine for most games. Cheap option is to use a cheap composite capture card like the Dazzle (which I think are still around)
