Legendary pokemon like the Tower Duo, Weather Trio, Creation pokemon, the Tao, The Aura, The Light Trio and the Sword and Shiled of Galar I consider legendary because Gen 2 actually decided to give proper legends and myths around those pokemon. Gen 1 has no myth around the birds their dex entries seems to say to be just very powerful bird pokemon.

I feel like people treat them as lesser than legendaries for some reason and that doesn't make sense. 1) They're rarer than legends, 2) they weren't even considered legends outside of Japan until Gen 5 and now apparently it's all different now and 3) two of the mythicals are literal god and the ancestor to all Pokemon. It really should not matter that much if I call Darkrai a legendary and it bothers me how people just think lesser of them. They are both groups of super powerful Pokemon with lore behind them. It doesn't matter.

It’s implied in the Japanese opening of DP that Tobias also had an Entei. It’s in a brief sequence with Darkrai and Latios, followed by Entei.

Even if 1 or 2 of Ash's Pokemon were able to fight, he'd still have another legendary in Entei and the scary part is who knows what else after those 3 as well.

Goh never kept Eternatus, and him using one Pokeball on it is a reference to the Sword and Shield games where it's a guaranteed catch no matter what you use. Also Calem/Serena were forced to catch Xerneas/Yveltal to continue the story

Legendaries: They´re literal forces of nature that helped to shape the world and/or heroes for humanity/pokemon/ the entire region. Mythical pokemon: They are not legendaties. They're really powerful pokemon with unique abilities that are so uncommon to be seen that people in the pokemon world even doubts of their existence to some extend. Usually considered almost like minor deities for specific towns and cities in the past. Their primary trait is that they're literal representations of certain myths from the real world (like muses, aliens, time travelers, etc). Ultra beast: They´re basically pokemon from another dimension. Not legendaries. The share a lot of traits with legendaries (like being genderless, having scripted encounters and being part of the undiscovered group, etc) but this is due to their whole concept as extra dimensional unidentified creatures.

But they´re not native to Kartana´s world.

@@dappershinx9234 I think that was originally the case, but was eventually retconned. In the Anime, there a few instances of there being more one of a certain legendary(There was an arc that showed two Lugias, one of which was a baby, and the Shiny Suicune that was shown in the Zoroark movie was a different one than the non-Shiny Suicune shown in the Celebi movie). In the games, there’s multiple Silvallys, and due to alternate dimensions being confirmed, it’s safe to assume there’s now a limitless amount of legendaries in other worlds.

In that tournament, the trainers I've mentioned before have Mewtwo, Lugia, Rayquaza and Giratina respectively. There's also a Veteran in Black City that has the Legendary Dogs.

Just an FYI, trainers in the Battle Royal Dome in USUM will also have legendary Pokémon if you’re fighting in the Master challenge And also there’s the Battle Tree. I’m not so sure about this one since I haven’t seen it myself (tho I have with the Battle Royal), but I’m almost certain specific trainers get legendaries if you go high enough

Same i don't even know when that term "Mythical" first popes up because as far as i know things like Mew, Celebi, Deoxys etc were all considered legendaries when i was a kid. the only difference i can even kind of see between the two was that Legendaries could be obtained for the most part in the main game where as mythical were only obtained through this like distribution events. but thats not even true anymore because in OR AS you could obtain Deoxyes in the Delta episode so is Deoxys a legendary now? who knows?! i just call them all legendary

Mythicals are just used to define legendary Pokémon that are only obtainable through events, I have no idea why people don’t consider mythicals legendaries since that would mean Mew and Darkrai aren’t considered legendary when their counterparts (Mewtwo and Cresselia) are considered legendary

The main character gets one, but there's someone with THREE of them and it's not who you would think it would be. Side games would be interesting to cover as well since there's a fair bit there. Like Team Rocket Actually steal one of his MAIN Pokemon right before a battle the Pokemon end up getting away from them but cannot get back in time to enter the ring and when it looks like ASH is donzo Ho-Oh feather he had secretly found on his first day out Ash's True lucky charm that he's always had hidden on his person a necklace or charm in his poach or back pack starts to glow and Ho-Oh soars in from the sky next to Ash ready to battle to help Ash win Against another legendary Pokemon and final trainer whom seemed impossible before but now with Ho-Oh Ash has a chance.

I don't mean to be rude, but in a previously downloadable Japanese and Korean only tournament for the PWT in Black 2/White 2 there are a few gym leaders that own legendary pokemon. Sabrina owns Mewtwo, Falkner owns Lugia, Winona owns Rayquaza and Fantina owns Giratina. I wouldn't worry about how "canon" Pokemon Masters is. With just the core series games we have multiple timelines where events can differ so any officially licensed Pokemon game can be considered canon just in it's own timeline. One of Aggron's Pokedex entries talks about how ancient warriors wore helmets that resembled it which could be a direct reference to a character from Pokemon Conquest. Red has Venusaur in the Adventures manga instead of Charizard even though in any anime he usually has Charizard and many people (myself included) consider the manga to be the best part of the franchise. Besides Pokemon Masters really expands the relationship between various characters that you would normally never see interact. Also Pokemon Masters essentially confirms that the opening fight of the Red & Blue games was between Oak & Agatha and I think that's cool enough to give it consideration.

There have been dozens of trainers to use legendaries in the anime and ash doesn’t act surprised at all. I’ll never forget the girl in the elite four with an Entei… or the gym leader with the regi trio and there’s also Tobias with darkrai

If silvally is a legendary, then zoroark, volcorona, and lucario have to be counted as a legendary as well. Lucario and volcorona were just as special in there introductry gens as silvally , and zoroark has plot relevance like silvally. For that reason it is clear while it is as powerful as one, silvally is not a legendary pokemon

Sivally, wether you like it or not, is literally a legendary Pokémon. The Pokédex in games label Sivally as a sub-legendary Pokémon which includes common legendaries like Articuno, Entei, Latias, etc.

Silvally is a legendary for a similar reason for why Mewtwo is one. They were based on powerful mythical pokemon. Plus are strong in their own right.

In B/W (2) there are trainers in the forth city on the left side of the pokecenter. It’s some sort of training unit to see how many points you can get and elderly trainers can have every unbanned Pokémon.

Some trainers in the Master Ball rank of the Battle Tower in Sword/Shield can use a Normal-Type Silvally. The league staff member that gives you Type-Null counts as well. In the Crown Tundra DLC, an old woman has a Cosmog that she gives you. Poiple is also gifted to you by the scientist running Dynamax Adventures.

A mythical is close to a legendary but not quite? What? You do know what a mythical is, right? All mythical pokémon are legendary but not all legendary pokémon are mythical. A mythical pokémon is just a legendary that isn't obtainable in the main series without outside interference.

Legends ash have controlled that was missed: Lugia, latias(kinda), (kyogre/groudon, don't remember which), zecrom, rechiram, (victini and meloetta is mythical)
