@masterk65714 жыл бұрын
The Andromeda Galaxy is approximately 2.5 million light-years away. The Federation starship USS Voyager was stated to need 70 years to travel 70,000 light-years, so at that speed, it would take 2.5 thousand years to get there..

NX-01: Warp 5 (TOS Scale) 125c ENT-E: Warp 9.995 (TNG Scale) 11,515.56c Assuming this trend remained constant by 2610, the top speed could be 1,060,865c, meaning it could cross 2.5 million light years in 2.36 years. You might say they can't stay at top speed for long and this is true. However, that has increased as well. From barely an hour, at or near warp 5 being sustainable, to 12 hours at max speed by the TNG era. Thus, the amount of time they can maintain max speed would likely have increase too by 2610.

Imagine how much easier Archer would of had it if he had the J back before the Federation was made. It's basically a mobile battle station

Did Archer even know how big the J was ? Didn't seem to react much to it's size.

Nice artwork and special effects but, I think it would have been better if you just started with the smallest and line them all up in a row and backed out slowly until they were all in view, at least that's what I was expecting to see but, man! oh man!, Overload! But kudos on the artwork, it looks good.

My all time favorites are 1701, 1701A, 1701C, 1701E, JJprise. 1701B looked like a passenger ship, as does 1701D. Haven't made up my mind about 1701F. As for 1701J, I don't like the design.

I think I'm in the minority when I say my favorite is actually the NX-01 feels more possible and like the first voyages to explore the artic.
@develynseether44264 жыл бұрын
Quite possible. The SpaceX concept shuttles look very similar to the 'Enterprise' intro vessel OV-165 which is meant to be a future descendant of the space shuttle Enterprise (OV-101) and is listed as a hypersonic vessel, all tech being designed right now. The following ship, Ganges-Class SS Emmett looks like something we could definitely see in about 75-100 years if not sooner so I don't think it's an outrageous leap to say we may very well have vessels looking similar to NX-Class in the next 150 years, warp drive or not.

Good comparison, missed the Odyssey variant of the F though before it was refit into the Yorktown
@snipey47a4 жыл бұрын
Visually they aren’t very different except for the resolution of some of the textures that came as part of other graphical life cycle improvements and never attributed to the refit.... well almost essentially a rebuild of the original 1701-F Odyssey class. 1701-F’s original sister ship the was USS Yorktown. The Yorktown was significantly more damaged than the Enterprise-F at the climax of the Iconian War requiring the Yorktown to be almost completely rebuilt as well as incorporate all advancements in technology that were achieved since it was launched. Since the Yorktown rebuild was essentially a 80% all new ship it received a new registry denoting this change. The Odyssey Enterprise-F, while less damaged, benefitted from what was happening to the Yorktown and received the same enhancements resulting is slightly different external dimensions but entirely new offensive, defensive and operational systems. All of this was done under the YORKTOWN REDEVELOPMENT PROJECT with the rebuild USS Yorktown being the lead ship of that class and the repair and refitted Enterprise-F changing from Odyssey to Yorktown Class. Yorktown (Block 2) Stats (vs Odyssey (Block 1)) Mass - 6.8732 million metric tonnes (vs 6.6221 million metric tonnes) Length - 1.041.5 metres (vs 1,061.1 metres) Beam - 385.32 metres (vs 371.88 metres) Draught - 150.84 metres (vs 147.92 metres) Minimal Crew to Operate - 900 (vs 1,800) PROPULSION Yoyodyne 47B M/ARC Warp Core (vs 46A) Two Keenser/Pegg Heavy Impulse Engines (vs Two Charon Yards Hyper Impulse Engines) Two Inline Flux Secondary Impulse Engines (vs 10 Zhiv/Ren SR83 Impulse Thrusters) SENSOR ARRAY Twelve DYN-90 multi band linear sensor suites with four omniwave passive sensors and one JAWS active directional array (vs four DYN-75 multi band linears, four omniwave passives and one J-DOME Omni-directional sensor array) WEAPONS Twenty-one Mark 14 phaser arrays and 6 variable payload torpedo launchers (vs 18 mark 12 arrays and 4 variable torpedo launchers)
