Earth Doace dock is supposed about 3 miles in height. But your measurements in meters only puts it at 2.2 miles high when I did the conversion

Their measurement is the beam (width). Roughly 2.2 miles wide and over 3 miles tall.

Always love being able to get some idea of size and scale of these ships and things. Thought you might have put the enterprise d as the galaxy class ship to help people see the difference between the early enterprise and the next gen one. Undoubtedly the most prominent early Galaxy-class starship was the Federation flagship USS Enterprise-D, which, apart from two brief periods under the commands of William T. Riker and Edward Jellico, was commanded for its entire service history by Captain Jean-Luc Picard.

One issue I have and it's not your fault...it's more a Trek fault. Why are all of these ships names and classes using Earth name? Why do we rarely ever see a Federation ship/class named after something from Andor or Tellar?

It kinda makes sense since Enterprise established that starfleet began as earth starfleet then became the federations starfleet. My fan theory goes thusly, upon the founding of the federation most member worlds had a long history of conflict and mistrust, Andorians may not want to serve with or under Vulcans just yet. They certainly don't want the Vulcan fleet having free reign through their space and they don't want to depend totally on them for defense. So the solution is easy, earth is as neutral as they come, they become the capitol of the federation and their starfleet becomes the official exploratory branch of the federation and are allowed free access to all member world space. Member worlds largely maintain local fleets and starfleets generally weaker technology is bolstered by a coalition fleet in times of war early on. the growing effectiveness of starfleet means they don't really expand much beyond their own space in a military sense over time. There are times when I think we can see more alien influences in star fleet though, the older ships in DSC often look like they could be built using mixed starfleet and member worlds technology, the USS Shran in particular looks a lot like a starfleet saucer with Andorian cruiser nacelles. And the ships developed in response to the Borg like the steamrunner and Saber class both look kinda alien in design and my going theory is starfleet called upon the member worlds to help design a diverse fleet to counter Borg adaptation.

A common misconception of humans. Many common words and expressions from around the federation SOUND similar to english. For instance "H'mir A'Anda" is Andorian for "a delicate flat dish on which food is served". "En'turp Rise" comes from an obscure southern Vulcan dialect and the closest literal translation is " Sex Machine"

I thought the Yeager class was a lot smaller. I was pretty sure they showed it side-by-side with Voyager in the pilot episode and it was significantly smaller.

It should not. The Luna class is very compact and the California class is very spread out. The California seems very big but it does not have much internal space other then the saucer.

The Antares class was around 470 feet so about 144 meters and the SS Huron (the U was added by accident but the script and dialog is SS) is 225m and the Bonnie is closer to 200 meters.

Just watching this video this is the first time I have heard of some of these Starship Classes and looking at the Apollo class it looks almost similar to the Nebula Class in design even though they are different Starships they look almost and I mean almost identical in design.

There is no way - I repeat none - where California class is that big, if something, it would be of similar size to Miranda class, but it's definetly not that big. Especially not when considering that the creators scaled it according to the Galaxy class, of which the Nebula class is a close relative - pretty much using the same saucer. Don't know where you got the data for that, but it is incorrect.

How the hell did they build a ship the size of the Sovereign class before the TOS era? Discovery is non-canon hot garbage.

Why couldn't they build big? Literally the ONLY canon starfleet ship from the TOS era (until DSC) is the Enterprise and her sister ships. And there's zero canon information saying those were the largest ships of the time. They were among the most advanced, but they has nothing to do with size. Also, the Discovery and other DSC era ships are not as large as the Sovereign, the Discovery is longer but a long string can be longer than the Sovereign, you wouldn't say it was larger. The Sovereign is a good example of size not meaning advanced, it's longer than the Galaxy class but by mass much smaller, why is it smaller when it's plainly more advanced? He'll, most of the ships from the 24th century shown here are smaller and more advanced than the Galaxy! The Intrepid is way more advanced, same for the Saber Steamrunner and Defiant. It's almost as if higher technology allows them to make ships smaller as much as it allows them to make them bigger! Also, Discovery is canon, you dont get to decide what's canon.
