Originally composed by the legendary Nobuo Uematsu for the very first Final Fantasy game, "Prelude" (プレリュード / "Crystal Theme") continues to stand the test of time, finding new life through reinvention and reorchestration across nearly 40 years since the beginning of its industry-defining series.
Spanning from FFI in 1987 through to the most recent releases, please listen and enjoy this comprehensive audio collection which covers every version of prelude (that I could find).

It's cool to hear they actually tried experimenting Prelude with some beat drums way before Final Fantasy 10. It's catchy, and I like it. even FF10's version of Prelude fits the game even though it's not like the Prelude we know.

1:33:25 Say what you will about Final Fantasy 15’s story and its flaws but Yoko’s score for this game was easily a top 5 in the franchise especially with this ost being matched Noct meeting Bahamut for the first time. Yoko did an incredible job with the soundtrack and I really enjoyed the story for what it was. Not to mention Ardyn was an incredible antagonist easily up there with the likes of Sephiroth and Kefka!
