I have dual Japanese and Italian citizenship. There’s a legal loophole in Japan that when you become an adult and Japan asks you if you want to keep the Japanese citizenship or not, you just say “I haven’t decided yet”. You keep saying that every time they ask, and they’re legally not allowed to deny you citizenship.

You legitimately can't own a bald eagle in the US, and you also can own a machine gun, albeit with a lot of exemptions - the machine gun in question must have been manufactured before 1986, you must file a Form IV with the ATF, you must turn over your fingerprints, you must pass an in depth background check, not just the NICS, you must also get the gun transferred through an FFL.

I will say it's kinda insulting to just say "the best way to become a citizen is the legal way" without adding the context of the insanely long waitlists of many countries. For many, there is no legal way, even as asylum seekers. Otherwise, good video :)

"Where every man is given equal opportunities in life." Ummmm, maybe two decades ago, but now, it is the land of the have and have nots. The middle class is slowly decaying. You are either loaded or living paycheck to paycheck. May have a little to save up so in 5 years you can go on a cruise or go Disneyworld. The US is not an idea, but solely an experiment, which looks like it is going to go like the Roman empire.

Hi, great content. Just had a correction on the "acquisition" way to citizenship. Both parents do not have to be US citizens as long as one of the parents has lived in the US for a total of 5 years (three years before the age of 16 and two years after the age of 16) prior to the child's birth. Keep up the amazing work!

A change to the constitution that gets ignored too. 5. Bill of rights, that we the government gives to you, not God. 6. The right to kiss a cops boots whenever he wants you to. 7. Too many and not enough, but it doesn't really matter, no government entity follows the constitution anyway.

I wrote a comment on LEO Round Table complaining about the way the police will lie about the reason for being pulled over, and then change their story to try and search a vehicle. This was Chip De Block's response - "You're under the misguided impression that police should not or cannot change their story, exaggerate or even lie to do their jobs. Reading the part where you believe law enforcement should not pull someone over unless they have committed a crime made me smile because it SEALED THE DEAL on how much you do not know or understand."

You are a US citizen at birth automatically if one parent is a US citizen, even if the parents aren't married at the time. If the father is the US citizen, it has to be demonstrated he was physically present with the mother at the time of conception, for example with plane tickets and passport stamps. As long as the US citizen parent had enough (currently undefined) time in the US (which also needs to be demonstrated with bills, W-2s, etc), the local embassy will file a consular report of birth abroad, even if only one parent is a citizen and they're not married. If they can't prove the father was there, they even do DNA tests for citizenship!
