Speed honestly really doesnt matter. Agility, intelligence, and hands matter more. John Ross had the fastest time and one of the worst busts of all time. Jerry rice ran a 4.71 and kupp ran a 4.62. Fitz ran a 4.63. The eye test will always remain true. Unless they only run go routes, the straight line speed isn’t as important as changing direction like when you run routes.

@@GlassTopRX7 I agree 100%. That’s why I’m more impressed with McConkey’s time than Worthy’s. McConkey’s just adds to what I’ve already seen from him. A dawg that runs some of the best routes I’ve seen, separates, great hands, great instincts and just an overall high football IQ.

Xavier is obviously fast, but he is really tough and can actually play WR. He also was a rare bright spot a few years ago when Texas was stinking up the joint. I hope he moves up the draft board.

He will be there. At least he should. He’s 165 pounds lighter than me lmao and he has drop issues watch the tape. If he can put on 10 pounds and fix his drops he can be good. It’s not just about the 40.

@@TheKingofKingscorona Yeah, but that's not my point. I want him on KC since I know that Reid and Mahomes can help him become something special. But there are certain GMs who will just see his 40 time and pick him because "Wide Reciever go fast!". Hence why I have my doubts.

Mark my words: Troy Franklin is the best overall receiver in this draft class, and will be a WR1/WR2 in his rookie season. He has everything you want from a receiver! Size, speed, hands, route running, footwork, and especially his versatility. There wasn’t a single defender that was able to shut him down this past season. As a dolphins fan I would love it if we drafted him, but we have a pretty solid WR core. So as a ducks fan I hope the chargers get him so Herbert has a fellow duck on the team and will have more than just Keenan Allen to rely on to make big plays 😅

Love Curt analysis - college QB athleticism never translate to the NFL level unless the player is obvious outstanding in that area. Players like Manziel, Mayfield, Tebow, Mariota, etc get run down quick by NFL defensive. Mayfield learned that and became even more of a progression QB.
