Being honest, I think a sequel to Nintendo Land on Switch would be more likely, more enjoyable and obviously more _plausible,_ except it'd make waaay more sense on Switch's 1st year than 5 years later.

Mono lift has been too busy to port it I think considering they’ve been busy since Xenoblade 2 in 2017 and then they made the dlc and then they made xenoblade definitive edition and are probably working on xenoblade 3

I honestly love Woolly World more than the original Yoshi's Island as the levels are more diverse, the soundtrack is more varied, and you don't need to collect everything in the same go. Such a brilliant game that I wish more people could experience

I have a random theory that Nintendo is holding onto the Zelda HD remasters from the Wii U in case BoTW 2 gets pushed back significantly again. Then they can have those ready to release to hold over fans for another year or however long. If BoTW 2 releases on schedule, then they could indefinitely hold onto them or release them a year or two later. Although by that time, I hope Nintendo has the successor to the Switch out.

Nintendo isn't going to bother making remasters of remasters, "XCX" and "SFZ" rely too heavily on the GamePad such that a port of the former would be a significant downgrade and the latter just isn't feasible, and "Color Splash" just sucks.

Of all those games, only Xenoblade Chronicles X stands out as a unique & critically acclaimed game and truly deserves a Switch port. Every other game is pretty lackluster (Animal Crossing Amiibo Festival, Paper Mario Color Splash, Star Fox Zero), or has another version/prequel/sequel on another Nintendo Console (the Zeldas, Yoshi, Kirby Canvas Curse DS > Rainbow Curse, etc).

Splatoon 1 is completely different. Different maps, different weapons, different abilities, and of course a different single player campaign. Smash Wii U has different physics, different modes, and Custom Moves (which is the biggest omission from Ultimate). Mario Maker... well, it has amiibo costumes.

It seems the Zelda Wii U remasters would release in a year without any other Zelda release. It's a franchise they're trying to release yearly in some way or form 2017- BOTW 2018- Hyrule Warriors Remaster 2019- Links Awakening Remake 2020- Hyrule Warriors Age of Calamity 2021- Skyward Sword Remaster So if BOTW2 gets delayed to 2023, I could see them releasing one of the wii u ports this year. If it sticks to 2022 then I could see one of them in 2023 at the earliest. It's sad really

This video just made me realize how underrated the system's use of the gamepad was. I have been critical of Nintendo in the past for the gimmicky controls of the Wii and Wii U, but I do give Nintendo credit for thinking outside the box with game controls and interface. This video makes me feel sad for my Wii U that collects dust while its Switch brother gets all the intention.

Some third parties have some of the best touch pad usage on Wii U. Splinter Cell Blacklist, Mass Effect 3,,Deus EX HM and one of the 2 Call of duty games for example.

14:45 As much as I like Color Splash they would have to change the battle system closer to the first two or Origami King but with consumable cards. I thought CS was pretty decent despite it's issues. I can imagine how irate the fanbase would be that a slightly better Sticker Star got a Switch port while TTYD and Super still don't have a re-release.

My assumption at this point would normally be "Well, Nintendo must have a plan for a lot of these. Otherwise it just doesn't make sense." Like, if they were waiting to do Windwaker and Twilight Princess at 60 fps but maybe the switch can't handle it, so they were gonna do it on the Switch's successor. But then I remember this is Nintendo we're talking about. They often don't follow any perceivable logic or just do asinine things all of the time. We may genuinely never see Xenoblade CX, WWHD, or TPHD on anything other than the Wii U.

This was a great idea for a video, and I really enjoyed it even though I disagree with some of the editorial comments. For instance, Devil's Third is well worth playing (if not worth porting, haha). The games that should clearly be ported are Xenoblade Chronicles X (which deserves to be experienced the Switch's 100 million strong player-base) and Wind Waker/Twilight Princess HD's. I also would love to see Splatoon 1 & Yoshi's Woolly World, but they are unlikely to get the porting treatment because of the evolution of their IPs on Switch. Sticking to first-party was wise, to keep the list straightforward. But the only really good third-party games I think are missing from the WiiU-to-Switch port bandwagon are the best of the Skylanders games (like Swap Force) which will never happen, and Sonic Lost World which I may be in the minority for liking ... it has a 63 metacritic, but also a 7.2 user score which is almost what it deserves (7.5 or 8 from me).

18:18 this topic is sort of a 50/50 thing in my opinion. I played the originals both with the easy access to the menu on Gamecube and Wii/Gamecube. when i had the HD versions i also played like this, soley with the WiiU Pro Controller. so i think both games would be easily playable on switch. but as siad, it is just my experience^^.

Am I the only one who thinks that not every single Wii U game needs to be ported to the switch? I mean at least leave SOMETHING for the Wii U. Plus there are games for older Nintendo consoles that still need ports, we still don't have Mother 3 for crying out loud!

Color Splash to this day still doesn’t deserve many of the criticisms it is getting and pretty much laid most of the groundwork for Origami King: the amazing un-Mario-like soundtrack, the interconnected stages that feel like an actually coherent world, the snappy dialogue and all the amazing smaller subplots that overshadow everything regarding Bowser and the black paint. I will never forget the ghost house level with the clever time loop puzzle, the "fight" against a real-life steak, the angry Toads, the Sniffit Hideout under the quicksand, the references to actual memes like the Luigi Death Stare, the pirate island with a second dimension, the Mario Bros. 3 level, the colosseum, the circus where you free the Yoshis, Ludwig's base, the train heist, the evolution of Port Prisma over the course of the game, the hot spring session with Huey… There's so much good stuff there, all overshadowed because of a mediocre battle system and some weird unnecessary instant hit game over sequences. It really is a shame in my opinion as it still stands as one of my favorite Wii U games.

Another workaround for the Rainbow Curse, the Wii U gamepad is a separate Switch in handheld mode, with the Waddle Dee players are using another Switch. They can be connected in local ad hoc mode.

I honestly think the right/left stick with a highly sensitive pointer that paints when holding the shoulder buttons(or maybe even a or b) could work well
