The Wii is superior because it can play GameCube games and has its own games. You can use GameCube controllers (though it's wired) and you can use a Wii Remote, and sometimes even the Nunchuck if you insert it.

I disagree, considering the wii became the top 3 of all time in sales. It has a lot of great games, hidden gems, home-brew, backwards compatibility with all GameCube games, and much more. The Wii U definitely not good but great for emulation and portability even.

So i saw dk in mario party, wrecking double dash with mario and wario, dennis almost kills the sponge, live and learn and bowser talks in a mario game. And christmas 05. I still have my GameCube. I modded mine slightly so not only i can play at home, but i can play in the car without the need for an inverter. I still have the Game Boy attachment but i lost the startup disc a long time ago, and I'm pretty sure they're stupid expensive for a replacement disc.

At the GameCube launch, I waited in the Wal-Mart parking lot from midnight until they opened at 6 am. That's how stoked I was for that console. And damn if I wasn't floored by the graphics of Rogue Squadron. But how was I supposed to know that only like 5 people in my town wanted one at launch and they had probably 150 in stock on day 1.

So he said name another console that lets you change the music of the start up, well the Nintendo switch does just that. For the start up when you press the same button 3 times, you can press the right trigger or the left trigger to make some funny sounds, you also get some other funny sounds if you press on the left or right joystick.

And in case you didn’t know, the hidden startups aren’t the only secret the cube is hiding! The menu theme is actually a slowed down version of the startup theme to the Famicom Disk System!

You know, the GameCube was always that one console I knew near nothing about. People talk about literally everything else more, it never came up until like a year ago. Now, I’m finding out about the console I didn’t grow up with. While I‘ll always stay faithful to the Wii U, the GameCube seems like something I could definitely get behind. The charm, the risky plays with IPs which turned into stellar games, and of course the intro. Thanks for the video, NB. @@noname-jt6kl Yeah, and I may have a nostalgia bias, but objectively, the console is still great. It released upon a time when Nintendo was using it's licenses (which were a lot, especially compared to other consoles at the time), and still respected them. Oh and there's the fact that most games that released in every platforms at the time had their gamecube version (which was more powerful) as the best one, and their PS2 version as the worst, for exemple Sonic Heroes or SoulCalibur 2.

I still have the platinum version to this day, so whenever I want a but of nostalgia I'll boot up my gamecube time to time. Now here's the thing, i play kirby airride AND sonic adventure 1 till I got the " this disc cannot be read" orange notification. Yet, I still have fun with metroid prime (1&2), but i wish they did something with some other games like custom robo. One hell of a game to play with friends if you like mecha and lots of weaponry

I loved the gamecube as a kid, although I was always very unimpressed at the fact some games multiplayer only worked with a GBA plugged in. My family didn't have money to buy a GBA, nor the cable to plug it in to the gamecube. Still will never forget playing OoT, Wind waker, Paper Mario, Kirby AirRide, & smash bros.

2:38 Some games actually made use of the calendar. In Star Wars Rogue Leader for example, there's a mission that plays different when you play it at night than during the day.

I still play the Gamecube my Grandmother bought me as a kid. It’s the indigo one that came with Super Mario Sunshine. A few years ago I picked up one of those adaptors that plug in the back of the console and outputs in HDMI, I’ve never looked back

Some of the game icons on your memory card had different animations when you clicked on erase and had to press either yes or no . I don't remember which game it was, but there was one where the characters cried with their hands buried in their faces, waving you good bye... Seeing that was just heartbreaking.

3:17 every console had it's portable friend. gamecube had the gameboy, wii had the ds and wii u had the 3ds. let's say that the switch is friends with itself
