I would be very curious as to what your thoughts are on the CS San Mai III trailmaster. I have all models (carbon V, San mai, and 3V), and the San Mai is by far my favorite in terms of edge geometry and surprisingly....edge retention. I also have both high end models of the Recon Scout, and again, the San Mai version is my favorite. It's been a surprisingly amazing blade steel for wood processing.
