I like this discussion about women feeling like they "need" to be pretty and how that internalizes us into "needing" that, so that men in our lives won't abandon us, which is not true. If you see the women, we consider conventionally attractive or pretty, they also speak about being cheated on by men who they didn't care about their looks, but they still cheated on them anyway. Why? There are several reasons, but in particular, for this one situation, it's usually because these types of men feel insecure that their partner is doing and appearing better than them. They are typically envious individuals who can't stand when women shine in their own success and are doing well. If you can, could you also discuss about how beauty also plays a role in the crab bucket mentality of women, who feel like women are their competition instead of their allies? I would like to know your thoughts on that and also about other ways women uphold the patriarchy, like the phenomena with boy moms who caudle their sons and mistreat their daughters, or even get envious of their own daughters for existing because they also think they are in a competition with them? I'd like to hear your thoughts on this as well. Thank you 😊💓

yea thats a seperate discussion. How men perceive us is so complicated that its better to understand healthy perception of oneself within the girl's community first. Men will flaunt a girl's beauty as long as she's his gf or on his side. They will objectify or even $lutsh@me those who aren't. Only the insecure men, ofc. Regardless, while conventional beauty in appearance needs to stop being envied, we also need to uplift more ignored aspects of being human in women.

THANK YOU FOR TALKING ABOUT THIS!!! I had been feeling so insecure about my appearance cause i felt like I wasn't beautiful enough and I just wished that i didn't have to care about that, I am more than my appearance and worry about how I look all the time isnso stressful and draining and i just want to feel comfortable with myself the way I am.

Instead of "waking up in the morning and telling yourself that you're beautiful no matter what", tell yourself you are IMPORTANT no matter what. This is a problem women bring upon ourselves, making beauty our sole, primal pillar of validation. This is worse than any stupid objectifying comment a misogynist makes if u really think about it!
