It's funny, when you create a quality game, people would actually prefer to stick to quality over new rubbish. I know the money over everything ghoul CEOs are convinced in-game purchases for shitty games are the key to profitability, but isn't there value in producing a game which captivates its players for decades, like W3? There's got to be some way to monetize such games without going overboard with microtransactions to make it worth it for them to produce quality.

So many crazy moments. Catching the two destroyers the biggest turning point, costs Happy 10 supply and his entire economy, and he still forced some brutal engagements. Lyn showing some amazing versatility in his matches, but Happy is like a wc3 unit - if he has even 1hp left he's still hitting you at full strength. Serpent wards as surround tools was genius too

A point about golf: because lower scores are better in golf, under par means you are doing well. Over par means you are doing badly. Sub-par is a more general term in English that means you are doing a poor job. Also, 3 under par can be called an albatross or double eagle. It is uncommon, not only because it is difficult, but also because most holes are par 4. On a par 4 hole, 3 under par is just a hole in one and would not generally be called an albatross or double eagle. Those terms are only used for par 5 holes.

You gotta appreciate how these pros (Grubby included) love the game so much that two decades later they're still experimenting with new builds, Happy going Crypt Lord more often (even first against Human, which has more impact early game but in longer ones you can miss Carrion Swarm) and Lyn trying out Tauren even after he once asked for their removal. What a brilliant match from both sides.

B-b-b-but... I thought / heard that UD 3-hero was supposed to be *IMBA* or something ?!1//?!? *Especially **_in HAPPY's_** hands ?! O_o* Balance jokes aside -- *Lyn ABSOLUTELY **_HAD THIS_** from as early as he had the expo up...* ... Only reason game got prolonged is that he lost too many burrows due to not researching Fort. This wasted him too much lumber and time to boost up weapon/armor upgrades from his army. *HENCE,* his victory got delayed.... Even tho he had achieved it as early as 15:20. (Also a kind of a dumb move to *sell that pendant of energy... Like wtf what ?! O_o* ) .

This video highlights why Warcraft 3 never clicked with me as a competitive game. It is all about slap fights with your armies, focusing on a single unit at a time and exegarating how much an item with a minor effect has value. Or how much a hero skill matters in this game. Like, you have an entire army fighting to the death and the thing which matters is how well you use a single hero skill?

Like basically all high level competitions, it’s about getting a small advantage around the margins. It’s not that units and economy don’t matter. It’s just harder for one high level player to beat another with units and economy. But hitting a better impale is the thing that makes the difference. When there is a big skill difference, economy or units will decide the game.

Golf CLUB brother. holes have a # assigned to them such as "this hole is a Par 4" the point to break even or "be on par" is to sink the ball in 4 shots even. Every shot over 4 is considered +1 bogey, +2 double bogey, +3 triple bogey now the nomenclature for sinking it below 4 is different same with par 5s since you can get an Eagle, Birdie, Double birder or Double eagle I can't recall (been 20+ yrs since i played golf) and then you have Hole in One's. Which is 100% what they sound like. If you are playing on a Par 4, sink a HOLE IN ONE, you are -3 or 3 BELOW PAR. But to "be on PAR in golf" = breaking even the whole time. When in reality, you want to be BELOW PAR.

21:05 dk/lich/cl was the BEST for the longest time until Naga third came along. then Dark Ranger for UD mirror (silence against hero nukes to prevent coils, same with fiend wars) naga third vs hu/newbelf/sometimes orc. pitlord took over naga 3rd vs orc. and CL came back when ppl realized pitlord was too soft vs orc.

well taurens got MASSIVELY buffed in the recent patch. prior to that, backin the day ALL orc would get would be BM/SH/grunts/raidesr/Kodo. OR the MAIN build would be BM/SH Grunts/Raiders/Spirit Walker with wood peon pull. vs EVERY race. if you had an expo and extra gold/space that would put you in red you would get a KODO and of course upgrades like 2-2 melee AT most. or if its super LATE GAME 3-3 only if opponent had 3-3 or less. anyway.. vs newbelf, mass bears = more kodos. BUT since the new patch, taurens are NOW "meta" to put in your army along with other units. not as many raiders, just about 2-3 for clutch ensnares. maybe grunts or maybe zerkers now for AA. esp vs destroyers.

IMO when UD saw taurens, he shoulda quit making ghouls cept for wood ghouls and went disease aboms and 2 statues + destros. but 6 statues untill fight so he could get as much mana on destos when transform, make that 7 stats, 4-5 disease aboms, and then mana steal into 7 destros, 2 statues for mana/health heal ticks. with triple hero. that would've been better. perhaps from kind of casters early-mid game. then swap after seeing tauren/zerker
