I MARRIED a man that was my BEST friend for years, it was plutonic for years. I tried to set him up with other girls. Years in, as we grew to know each other I realized I had fallen in love with him(realized the first time we danced together) a year later I was at a breaking point and knew I had to either date him or stop being friends BECAUSE he occupied so much space in my heart there was no way past him to another. So I told him how I felt, the next day He told me he also loved me and asked me to be his GF. We were married 9months. So, sometimes, you catch REAL feelings and the friendship is already dead and romance is birthed out of that or you walk away.

Tyler, Find a 12 step program meeting once a week, meet the right man there u can talk with, commit to, to bounce off whatever ever you deeply need to find out about yourself. Relationships.

It’s very easy to get out of the friendzone actually. Y’all really talked without really getting to the obvious solution. To get out of the friendzone you remove yourself from being their friend and make your intentions clear. When you pull back and they realize the only way to have access to you is for them to consider you romantically. This establishes you as a person with high self esteem who will not be abused for their friendship and a person who values themselves enough to walk away from something that could potentially be damaging to themselves. People with high confidence and high self esteem will just walk away instead of torturing themselves hanging out in the friendzone. An example, … boy likes girl … boy befriends girl and now the girl friendzone him… he could choose to stay in the friendzone or be upfront about his feelings and be willing to walk away… so he says “hey I really like you and would like to date you romantically… I really can’t be just your friend because I do have feelings for you… but if you can’t give me a chance I I can’t be your friend… give me a call if you change your mind..” Then you ignore her and move on… shows confidence and self esteem… she might just change her mind…
