Being an FBA is another division tactics that the fool Nashid came up with while denying his African roots. Blacks have no government, art, music, religion, land, military or currency of their own in America. @MrDanicassoma2 күн бұрын
I am African, and I will explain based on my own experience. In many African countries, when they were colonies, the former colonizers defined skin tone as a factor for social and economic ascension, and this is still rooted in some societies. For example, in Angola, based on skin tone, the Portuguese classified people as cabrito, mestiço, mulato, and cafuso. The Portuguese gave a different status to these people because many of them were the result of non-consensual sexual relations between the masters and the laundresses. They were called bastard children, but they were treated better by the Portuguese society residing in Angola, compared to other Africans (non-mixed). After almost 500 years, it's difficult to change this mindset in just a few decades. The English did it differently: it only took a drop of blood to be considered black. That's why people like Mariah Carey in the USA are considered black, but in Angola, she maybe/would be classified as cabrita.

@@MrDanicassomaMy maternal line is from Madagascar which was specifically targeted by Rhode Island Slave Traders in the 1600's. Consequently they were already light skinned because of their Indonesian roots. In the Book of Negros, an I.O.U. to American Slave Owners, several Madagascarian females are documented as Mulattos. Furthermore, some Slave Owners valued Congolese Africans for their lighter skin and because they smelled better according to Edward Ball Author of Slaves in the Family which is ridiculous because if we were so highly valued they never would have stolen us and African Slave Traders never would have sold us in the first place. My sixth great grandmother was captured on the Spanish Main and sold into Slavery in Rhode Island the 1600's. According to a Runaway Slave Ad her daughter Aminata looked Indian because her mother was Indian which shows how expansive and how much earlier the Slave Trade was. Mulattos arriving in Nova Scotia Canada were categorized as African because of their continent of origin and they were aligned, oppressed, murdered, re-enslaved and treated accordingly for centuries.

Everybody copies what's good. America is the biggest land of opportunities to Africans because we see the blacks in America doing well. It is natural that we are going to copy them because we feel like we are just like them. Would you rather we copy the whites? Which is impossible. Black Americans are now seeking african culture because they feel like we are 1 of them. This is why a lot of black americans & Africans mix together in America. Godfrey is a perfect example.

I'm a Black American. Godfrey's correct that many Africans disrespect us. But let's not pretend that we haven't done the same thing to them. I'm a little older than Godfrey and have seen it with myself, where Black Americans have said all types of stereotypes over the decades of Africans that you hear from racist whites. And a lot of it came from us being ashamed of being Black. Black people would say that Africans lived in trees, called them African booty scratchers, and worse. Africans were shown in Hollywood as savages in the movies during Jim Crow years. And that's how the collective saw them and tried to disconnect from them. But it was Malcolm X who showed us the opposite. At the end of the day. I find it pathetic on both 6 at the end of the day. We're all viewed the same by non-black people as savages and primitives. Yes. We all have different cultures. Including the different cultures in each African country. But non-black people as a collective aren't looking at your cultures as they would a German being different from an Italian. They just see Black people.
@SimbaRules19632 күн бұрын
Your comment needs to be pinned at the very top for it’s accuracy. Thank you for saying all of that. When I lived in the US, quite often I’d receive more backlash from AA people than I received from any other race. I worked in a career that was highly specialized where I would find myself as the only black person in the room. So I became comfortable with the uncomfortable truth that you would say, “not all skin folk is your kin folk.” I built my life &empire and now inspire others to do the same in my country and across the continent.

Spot on! 🎯 The same thing happened in the UK. The white kids would make fun of the African kids, and the British black kids (Caribbeans) would join in. They would call them names like Zulu, say they ate monkey brains, swing from trees, ect, and the black British kids would disassociate from them and say, "I'm not African." Now it seems to have backfired because the Nigerians and Africans in general have the real "Black Pride." They are proud to be African and disassociate from blacks who aren't.

@SimbaRules1963 indeed. Until both sides stop thinking that they're better than the other and believing the stereotypes on both sides. Neither will prevail. Black Americans get treated like crap by racist. While fighting amongst our own. And Africans are dealing with the same by whites. Chinese and their own, too.

I would be uncomfortable too. Today's Afro-American culture is not the same culture that are grandparents, great grandparents, and others before them had. If they came back and saw what the culture is today, they would be sick and beat our behinds. The culture has turned to debauchery, filth, and foolishness. Yet people have been programmed to believe nothing is wrong. Moral decay. Godfrey is spitting facts alright...the fact that "the evil one" (can't say his name or YT will flag) is using the modern culture to contaminate the rest of the world.
