It’s only a tradition that was spread by narcissists to redirect attention to themselves in another persons celebration. It’s rooted jealousy and sad that most of the time this occurs within families. I remember my best friend growing up didn’t have a good relationship with her mom and sometimes her mom would show up at her birthday, well she was turning 10, her mom hadn’t been to the 9th party so my friend was exited she was coming but the mom said she was gonna cake smash my best friend and literally all her excitement drained and turned to dread. She spent the next few days wishing it wasn’t going to be her birthday. She did not want to be embarrassed like that and the only way her mom would show up for her is to embarrass her….. it ended up not happening, her dad talked to the mom and told her she’s gonna get thrown out and pay for the cake. One of the wooden dowels penetrated her eyelid and she could’ve lost her left eye but because it didn’t penetrate her pupil she was fine in the end and she still had both eyes. EDIT: it appears I was wrong. The girl nearly losing her eye case is actually connected to the image of the cake with bloody skewers in it, not the short video. The short video was a Vine, and it was a prank by the woman who pretended to be passed out.

I had a girlfriend who was just like her except she has 1 eye still, and a glass eye. She had cancer when she was young, that's why she was like this. She was very traumatised and it left her with issues that I couldn't fix or understand, but I tried my best to love her as she deserved to be. She was the most fantastic person I ever known, she was also a talented signer and drummer, and since I play a couple of instruments myself, our preferred activities was jamming and hiking. She loved nature so much. I saw the look people gave her sometimes and it made me angry, but she didn't saw well enough to see them. Unfortunately, she was very troubled and when she was told the cancer has returned, she decided to "unsubscribe from life". That was 20 years ago, and I still miss her. I hope if there's an afterlife, that she's happy and free. I also hope that I will see her again someday. I hope the girl in video will be happy. Look is deceiving, as they are often the most wonderful people you can find.

What’s truly terrifying to me is the girl who tried committing s****e with a firearm to the face but she didn’t do it “properly” and it blew her face off. So she used someone else’s face (donated to science) after the girl had passed away and got a full face transplant. In my opinion it was a poor use of such a valuable organ donation because there’s many out there who didn’t cause their disfigurement of their own volition who could have used that face to better their quality of life. Like someone caught in a house fire who got third degree burns on their whole face. Something out of their control and not of their doing that left them permanently disfigured without any remaining characteristics or features left on their face.
