Oh no not the drone! So glad you decided to go through Georgia and found out how lovely it can be. Sometimes it is better to go see for yourself instead of just hearing what others have to say! Stay safe out there and thank you so much for sharing your journey!⛵

I wonder how many people skipped it just because someone said it was bad, and then I wonder if that person even went or if someone else told them it was bad. Maybe it is bad and we just enjoyed ourselves anyways, who knows!

I lived there for ten years. Spend the night on Cumberland Island where all the wild horses live if you want. It's gorgeous.

It sounds awesome but holy cow it was so hot, definitely a cooler weather option

Awesome video! New subscriber here. I grew up on St. Simons and live in Brunswick now and we live in a beautiful area for sure. Our waterways are open and clear but can get sketchy depending on tides and winds especially the cut between Cumberland, Jekyll to St. Simons. Glad yall made it through our home. Next time hopefully yall can stay longer. Safe seas ahead and God bless.

Oh how awesome! I definitely wouldn't mind spending a bit more time there, but we're on a mission! The only spot we got really messed with in Georgia was probably Sapelo Sound, it was pretty wavy
@bjet80s453 ай бұрын
@Bretandmarisa Doboy Sound at Sapelo can get pretty bumpy on high water. Enjoy the trip and look forward to future videos. Stay safe and sail on 🤙

The biggest seas I was ever in. Was thirty footseas Off the coast of texas, In the middle of winter. A Northern front came down. I was on a Two Hundred eighty foot Big ass supply vessel. Yes I was unnerved. I put my life jacket on. And I slept Water tight door to go outside. Because I didn't want To get trapped Below Decks if it did go down. . That storm lasted two and a half days. And yep I did get a Sick on that one.

Yeah I would say 30 foot seas is a good time to put the life jacket on! Holy moly I can't imagine

If they were 8 to twelves foot seas out there. I would not be too concerned about it on your boat. You have a good ocean going vessel. I don't think you could beat into them. But you could run with them quite Easily. The canoe stern you have , Is four challenging seas. There are a few tricks to To dealing with rough seas. Especially when you're shiting on yourself. One is to use your sea anchor To keep your bow into the seas. Weather may last a day or a week. The other is to put a shock line off the stern. It is a long Rope With nots in it. It will help keep you from surfing down A Wave. You tend to lose. Control Surfing searching down a wave. And may Get sideways and rolled ,possibly Dismasted. I usually just use the roller furling jib. Adjusted Size acordingly To run with the seas. And keep my name down and secured real good.

Ya'll should have stopped at CUmberland Island and/or ST Mary's... SOme weird water around there though. On one hand I had a friend that got a swing keel Cat 22 stuck and had to winch it out with the anchor and dingy - BUT - on the other hand that is Kings Bay Nuclear Sub base so they keep a good channel dredged. I don't have a clue how much water draw or what your keel is. ... Oh... Ya'll don't look at all stoned in that last scene .😝

The joke about the dragon bowling. This one of my favorite dumb jokes. You can even get seasoned. Sailors with it. Get. You about a five foot piece of rope! And show the dummies. How to make a regular bowling on the end of it. And then To make the dragon bowling. You throw Bowling not on the ground And pull it around on the from the other end. Draging it behind you.ha. Get it? Dragon bowling.
