We have a Cocker spaniel dog that is amasing at this job! She is a perfect baby duck sitter. She also finds hidden eggs and brings them without cracks. She recognises the birds by sound and sight. She knows what to protect, ignor or chase. She also has a sound comand to chase or bark and si looks for me and calls me if trouble is coming! We mainly have magpie problems( they eat ducklings too, and if they are too big she will only eat the brain and eyes😢). But pigeons can carry bird flu so we do not allow them here. She is home trained. and she is NOT a working line, but show line! Probabely a working line would be too agitated to guard and educate duckings. A lot of work but ❤❤❤

@@parccarreg ❤️ Yes!!! She is! She is also a great help as a therapy dog. I have some bad autoimmune illneses and she somehow smell when a crisis comes before I can feel and she lets me know in time to look for shelter!!!

Magpies kept stealing my eggs too. I couldn't get my ducks to go in their duck house to lay until I realized they couldn't go up the very shape ramp. Fixed that and now they lay inside and the magpies don't get them because they don't know they're in the duck house
